Mr. Sykes slipped through the darkened streets of the reef, his form small and unassuming against the vast expanse of water around him. Black Fin territory was dangerous, especially for someone with ties to Don Lino, but Sykes had grown used to the routine. Sneaking around, keeping secrets—this was his new normal.

As he swam deeper into the murky waters, passing through jagged coral and abandoned caverns, he didn't notice the shadow trailing him from a distance.

Don Lino.

Lino had seen him leave. At first, he thought nothing of it—maybe Sykes needed some air, maybe he was meeting a contact—but the direction... the path toward Black Fin territory... It felt wrong. Luca's words echoed in his mind, the ones he had dismissed in anger. Could Luca have been right? Could Sykes, the one person he had trusted in all of this madness, be betraying him?

Lino kept his distance, his powerful body moving silently as he trailed behind. His heart pounded in his chest as he followed Sykes to the edge of the Black Fin hideout.

Inside the hideout, Sykes entered the cavernous lair, where Leviathan—Levi, as he was called among his closest—sat in his usual spot, half-hidden in the shadows. Elena was there too, pacing with an air of cold authority, her eyes sharp and calculating. Sykes tried not to flinch as she turned her gaze on him, but the weight of her presence was suffocating.

"You're late," Elena hissed, her voice low and threatening.

Sykes swallowed hard and composed himself. "I had to make sure I wasn't followed."

Elena's cold smile spread across her face, but there was no warmth in it. "Smart. You'd be dead if you were."

Sykes shot a glance at Levi, who was sitting quietly, his massive form rippling with barely-contained strength. Elena turned her back on them both, her hands clasped behind her. "What news do you bring?"

Sykes took a deep breath. "It's about Luca."

Elena turned her head slightly, intrigued. "Luca? What about him?"

Sykes hesitated for a moment. "He... he's in love with Don Lino."

Elena stopped mid-stride, her eyes narrowing with genuine surprise. "Luca? In love with Lino? Are you sure?"

Sykes nodded. "He's been hiding it for a long time, but it's obvious. I don't know if Lino knows, but Luca... he's loyal to a fault. He's not going to betray Lino, no matter what you think."

Elena's expression shifted to one of calculation. "Interesting." She seemed to mull over the information before waving her hand dismissively. "I'll deal with that later. For now, focus on the shipments. We need to cripple Lino's operation completely."

Without another word, Elena swam out of the room, leaving Sykes alone with Levi.
