YESTERDAY IT HAD SNOWED, much to everyone's great delight. it had seemed as if this autumn and winter were going to be much colder than the usual and while that fact was quite bothering, the regular presence of snow made it impossible for anyone's spirits to be dampened.

of course this festive joy only lasted a day for it had rained the next and all the snow was lost. and while virginia had never really minded the rain (in fact she believed it to be quite refreshing most of times) this one was cold and damp, chilling you to the bone, and it had caused everyone's mood to crash almost as fast as it had risen.

it was lucky the beatles were now staying right above their club, for that meant there was no need to go outside at all. sadly, the rest of the group weren't as lucky.

as much as virginia dreaded the current weather, that didn't mean she was going to miss a class because of it. so she'd begrudgingly dragged herself out the door that morning and made it to the university. she had spent most of her morning and early afternoon there, working on some assignments even after her class was done. and then, since she'd already broken the ice, she'd decided to spent the rest of the evening at the top ten. she wasn't exactly in the mood for partying or anything but the club was closer than jürgen's flat and besides, she figured the beatles could just sneak her in backstage or something.

that was how she'd arrived in the top ten club, drenched in rain from head to toe, barely a minute or two after its opening. she knew the boys had the second show of the night, so they'd probably be hanging around the place or backstage until then. and so, dripping water everywhere she went, virginia went out to search for the boys, hoping she would find them before someone else found her and believed her to be ill intentioned, or something like that.

carefully, she had made it all the way backstage. she knew there wasn't anything wrong with walking around the club itself, for it was open after all, but she wasn't supposed to find herself in this part of the building without permission. she had dodged the 'staff only' sign while guilt built up slowly in her gut. she gripped at her purse a little tighter when she heard footsteps approaching. great, she'd have to find a genius excuse to get out of this if she didn't want to be sent back outside.

the girl froze along with the unknown person behind her. "virginia?" and then, relief flooded her senses. "george, it's just you." a hand on her chest she went to greet him with a small smile. "what are ye doing back here?" george too, was nervous. although he had all the rights to be there, he hadn't seen virginia since that night in the club where she'd stormed out and he was scared she was mad at him for whatever reason. still, she seemed quite relieved to see him so he guessed that wasn't too bad a sign.

"i was... i was wondering if you could let me in backstage. i know your show's on in an hour or so but i just didn't feel like going all the way back home in such weather and well, if it isn't too much of a hassle since i've been back there before and all..." her hands hovered around as she spoke, something george often noticed she did when her mind was thinking faster than she could speak. sometimes, it was when talking about something she loved but other times it was out of nervousness.

george only had to glance at her soaked coat and dripping hair to realize she just wanted a warm refuge to stay for maybe an hour or two. why she hadn't just gone back home he didn't know, but he wasn't about to complain now was he. "yeah. yeah sure i can do that for ye."
