Ever since I was 10 years old I've been a painted canvas decorated in scarlet.
From my head to my toes I'm a beautiful painting, although some of me has faded to pinks and whites.
Ingesting whites since age 12,
It was only now they do something about it.I sat up on my bed and gazed at the small digital clock on the corner of my nightstand, 4:48am it read.
Against the free will of my littered body I came to the conclusion that I should awaken.Gathering my fragile bones to an upright position I advance up the stairs to have some off brand cereal shoved down my esophagus, temporarily of course.
Instead of waiting for the rest of my insignificant family members like I would normally forces into doing, I progress to my special spot.
I walked a specific pace and in exactly 10 minutes and 27 seconds I was greeted with the scent of a million flowers and trees that went on for miles.
However, one tree in particular was slightly different that the rest of their kind. This was a tall, ancient red oak in the centre of a small meadow. which held a specific box had to open this day only.
Once I had successfully ascended the oak I gently lifted the box from its resting place and climbed down.
In a few seconds I safely touched the lush grass.Opening the box wasn't something I did right then and there, for I already knew what lay inside the metal contraption, and wasn't therefore tempted by curiosity.
I arrived at my house exactly 10 minutes and 27 seconds later to be greeted with a silent home. I venture off to my bedroom and lock the door behind me, I wasn't going to mess this up like last time.
I open the box with the key placed under the floorboards and look soon the contents just as knew as when I made it 5 years ago
A few paint brushes and a lot of whiteI picked out the paint brushes and dragged them heavily over my cluttered canvas a few dozen times, suddenly my canvas was just red. I ignored the sensation and ingested a different kind of white that my mother forced to me every morning, one that I had to ask around for and did bad things for.
I place the letter beside me, a safe distance away from the red.
Sitting down I realize that I'm succeeding. but just as I fade away I see the door to my room open with a
Bang.And
Everything
Was
Dark.
