The 'Job offer'

"Now, Mindy was it? I want you to assist my brother in all matters until he can successfully blend in with modern society. You can assume he knows nothing and start from scratch." The suited man, Elijah, was looking directly into my eyes as he spoke. "You will come whenever I call for you, do you understand?"

"Yes Sir." The affirmation was forced out of my mouth before I could stop it. Why I was agreeing to this I have no idea. I have a job, bills to pay. I don't have time to babysit a grown man.

"Good girl. There is to be a Ball on Saturday, be sure that he is prepared to attend. I'd start with his hair." The tall brunette placed his hand on the small of my back as he guided me to his expensive car and away from my house.

**disclaimer I don't own anything related to The Vampire Diaries tv show or books. This little introduction is pretty short but I promise the parts do get longer after this. Finn is a character I think get tossed aside a lot because the other Mikaelsons are more exciting. He is in my opinion a little more complex than rest. He was literally locked in a box for 900 years and psychologically tortured for over 600 of those years because of his family's neglect. If they were in modern society he would have been in therapy for depression and suicidal ideation. Instead he was ignored and belittled only causing him to spiral further  into his depression and PTSD of his time in his coffin. I got this idea because I thought about how the others have been daggered multiple times and have had practice adapting to a completely new world when they are woken up. Finn has only been daggered once so he would have no concept of how to adapt to such an insane new world he woke up surrounded by siblings who didn't even care enough to morn him when he was murdered.  I have expanded him a little so you can see him show signs of his trauma throughout the story.
