Chapter 1- Shimmering Blood

Deep beneath the Throne Room of the Diamond Authority is a secret laboratory. The Bismuths that built the place were shattered. Every log directing to the laboratory was destroyed. Only a few chosen were allowed to know about the existence of this place.

"How long until he emerges?" Asked a kind voice of the giant and lustrous Blue Diamond. Her face was uncovered, showing her gentle smile and half-lidded eyes. Her hands were neatly grasped in front of her dress as she and the rest observed the giant container filled with bright green liquid and one floating Gem.

"Only a few minutes My Diamonds. This is a delicate process" Said Peridot, she was taller than the other 4 Peridots allowed to work on this hybrid. She is the Leader, one responsible for hundreds of Peridots, their experiments and work. Her eyes were covered by green goggles, showing different diagrams and glyphs.

"We are ready to inject the blood into the subject" Said another Peridot to the Leader who nodded and waited for a while, making sure everything was ready.

"I hope it won't hurt him," Said overjoyed but equally concerned voice. Pink Diamond, the most gentle Diamond on the entire Homeworld. Her kindness has no bounds, she creates safe heavens for organic life from different planets of her fellow Diamonds. She loves all lives, no matter if small or not.

"Start the injection process," the Leader said to the Peridots who immediately started to work in a fervour, their limb 9 working overtime to make sure everything was perfect.

"Body is stable" "Blood is in perfect state" "The organs work as supposed to" "The support liquid is starting to drain...starting the process of blood filtering!" At once all Peridots spoke. Diamonds watched in rapid attention as the tubes connected to the hybrid body inside the tank. After a second the red-colored blood started to drain from the second tank, right into the body.

After a few minutes of slow drainage Leader Peridot waited. The green liquid supporting the body was already left halfway down, making the body mostly uncovered.

"The Gem is stable. Moonstone shows compatibility with the body" "...Body works in perfect order with the Gem" "The vitals are working...we did it" As the entire Laboratory silently breathed out, the tense few years of testing, changing DNA of both humans and chosen gem, reshaping the dead body of a human with gems superior limbs. Adjusting organs to work without necessary things humans need...It was strenuous work and very, very mind-blowing and nearly impossible.

"You are my greatest achievement" Said Leader, she placed her bare hand on the glass of the container, she doesn't need limb enhancers. She is special, just like hundreds of other Leaders that Diamonds ordered to create.

He felt nothing, he smelled nothing, and he heard murmurs of voice around him.

Everything is weird, he swims in something, and it feels good but somewhat unnatural.

He cranked his eyes open, revealing a sight he knew and was familiar with. Diamonds, especially Pink Diamond he feels drawn to. His eyes focused on the Pink tall Diamond that sat on Blue Diamond's shoulder. His attention though, was broken when he felt a hand rest against the place he stayed in.

On instinct, he placed his palm against the glass. The Leader beamed with a wide smile and ordered him to be freed. But when suddenly tubes started to come down from the ceiling of his container he panicked.
