The eerie quiet that settled over Beta Kindergarten was unnerving. For a place always bustling with activity, from the construction of new bases to the emergence of fresh Gems, today felt different. The tension in the air was palpable, thick like the dust kicked up by the constant drilling and construction.

Jasper paced inside the command tent, her mind restless. The memory of their last battle still burned in her thoughts—the moment Moonstone collapsed, his gem barely intact after the brutal fight with Rose Quartz. She clenched her fists, frustration bubbling up from deep within. Every time they got close to ending the war, the Crystal Gems slipped through their grasp.

"How’s he holding up?" Skinny Jasper asked from across the room, her voice unusually soft.

"Moonstone’s fine," Jasper grunted, unwilling to show any hint of concern. "The regeneration slab is doing its job. He’ll be back soon."

"But soon isn’t soon enough," Skinny muttered, her gaze drifting toward the slab where Moonstone’s gem hovered, glowing faintly with the effort of healing.

Jasper slammed her fist into the table, startling Skinny. "I’m not going to let those rebels catch us off guard again. When Moonstone returns, we’re going to be ready. No more letting them slip away."

The silence that followed was thick with determination. The war wasn’t over. Not by a long shot.

Jasper sighed as she calmed down, her anger was always getting the better of her. Luckily she doesn't have to take responsibility for the entire Beta Kindergarten, otherwise, there would be many shattered Gems already. She only 6 to train soldiers and fight. Something Jasper is good at.

Skinny eyed the buff Gem from the corner of her eyes, she thought about Jasper's words and found them somehow reassuring. If someone could end this war, it was Jasper and Moonstone.

Skinny opened her mouth to speak when a loud explosion and tremor shaped her body. She gripped the table and steadied herself. Her eyes were wide as she listened to shouts outside the tent.

Jasper already was on the move. She hardly cared about the chair that slammed against the ground or the table that bent under her weight and hands. She grabbed Moonstone's gem and thrust it into Skinny's hands.

"Take the general and go to Prime Kindergarten, alert them that we are under attack!" Jasper said her final word already outside the tent.

The buff soldier looked around the desolate canyon, the destruction was enormous. Injectors are on the ground or burning while on the walls, fortifications Bismuth created are gone, and Homeworld Gems are fighting left and right against the rebels.

"Incoming!" Jaspers's head whipped in the direction of the voice and her eyes widened, a transport ship came right at her position, and she made a run for her life as the ship grazed the edge of the canyon. With a loud crack, the stone broke, and the ship caught fire as it slammed into the ground, right outside the tent.

Jasper looked in the direction of the ship and saw that it was still on fire. Luckily, she also saw Skinny running towards the base where the transport pads were located.

Jasper snarled as the Kindergarten was being demolished by those filthy rebels.

She rushed at the first available gem, her battle helmet already on her head. The enemy gem could only blink as the first connected with her head, the gem slammed into the ground and puffed, and only shards remained in its place.
