Chapter 8

The next two days were normal Stan was trying his best to ignore me, I could sometimes see him looking my way but when I look back he'll feign ignorance and look away which made me chuckle, I could feel he was giving in, he was just so damn stubborn

"Hey Krystal wanna hang out with me and my friends today?" Wendy asked snapping me out of my thoughts

"Like after work?" I ask looking her way

"Yeah y/n already said yes so" she exclaimed, "Sure why not" I said and we got into talking about anything and nothing at the same time, we laughed and joke around

As he listened to Krystal chatting and laughing with Wendy, a hint of jealousy tugged at his stomach. He knew he was being irrational, knew he had no right to feel possessive over her. But damn, he couldn't shake the nagging feeling of her slipping through his fingers.

Stan's attention was diverted by a newspaper lying on the counter. He picked it up and as he flipped through the pages, he stumbled across a picture of Mabel standing next to Gideon with an article beneath it.

"Hey, what the jeckels? Why is Mabel in the paper with that greaseball Gideon?" Stan exclaimed, waving the newspaper irritably in the air.

We all looked at stan then Wendy pulled out her phone typing something"Oh yeah, it's like as big deal. Everybody's talking about Gideon and Mabel's date tonight" Wenday said showing her phone to everyone

"That little shyster is dating my great-niece?! Hell no! I ain't having him anywhere near my family!" Stan exclaimed, crumpling the newspaper in his hand.

"I wonder what the new name will be for the power couple 'mabeon' 'ma-gid-eon" Soos said happily thinking of names

Stan's eyes widened as he heard Soos's suggestions. "Hmph, more like a disaster waiting to happen," he grumbled, tossing the newspaper aside.

He turned towards me, a determined expression on his face. "Doll, come with me. We're payin' Gideon a visit."

"But wendy and i made plans already" I said

Stan let out an irritated huff. "Heh, plans can wait. This is more important," he asserted, his eyes flashing with determination.

He stepped closer to us, his tone leaving no room for argument. "I need you to come with me now. This ain't up for discussion."

I looked at wendy and she just gave me a shrug

"Alright," I said sighing

Then i heard dipper shouts

"I didn't know! i didn't hear about it! plus I told her not to!"

"Dude" Wendy just said and with that, I followed Stan in his El-Diablo. he open the passenger's side which surprise me and felt my face redden again but i brush it off and head inside

Stan noticed the blush on her cheeks as he opened the passenger side door for her, a hint of satisfaction in his eyes. He tried to hide it with a gruff demeanor, but he secretly enjoyed the effect he had on her.

He got in the driver's seat and started the car, the engine rumbling to life. The tension between them was palpable as he gunned the engine and the El-Diablo roared out of the Mystery Shack parking lot.

The drive was silent but it was a comfortable silence when we arrive at gideon's place stan walk out of the car towards the front door and i just trailed behind him

Stan banged his fist aggressively on the front door, his eyes burning with anger. "Gideon! Open up you little punk!" he shouted, his voice echoing through the air.
