"What the fuck were you thinking?!" Jamal asks, yelling at me.

Jamal stands above me as I sit on the edge of the bed. He's been berating me for almost an hour now. After Andre shot Emilio's henchman, all his other men swarmed the room. Unfortunately, they were coming back upstairs to get Emilio for a house meeting when this happened. Apparently, Antonio and Jaden are back, and they had big news to share.

As Emilio's men surrounded Andre and I, DJ, thankfully, entered the room. I had to be quick on my feet, so I told them that Emilio died choking on his own vomit. I, of course, told them it was his idea to use the sex shackles. No one would ever really question anything they heard about Emilio sexually. The freak that he was, he would fuck almost anyone, woman, or man.

Emilio was as kinky as they come, no shame in his game. So, no one questioned that aspect. Everyone here was a witness to his excessive drinking and drugging today. So, no one will question that much, either. The issue is with the henchman being dead, and that Andre pulled the trigger. I lie and tell them that the man said now that Emilio was dead; he wanted to have a piece of me. I tell them he said he wanted his spot and his life.

Emilio's other men question this heavily and don't think their comrade could betray their boss. Although, a few of them bring up valid points that he was newer to the crew. He'd only been with Emilio for two years. Before that he worked for the enemy, until Emilio took that syndicate over. All I need is reasonable doubt, with that they'd have to question all his motives since being here.

DJ is quick to stand between the men and Andre and me. In the end, they decided they would solve this problem amongst all the members of The Collective. When the others heard about the commotion, they wasted no time scolding me. Antonio thinks it was more than an accident, but upon checking with the island pathologist, it showed he only choked on his vomit. Thankfully, I paid the pathologist off weeks ago.

He told me what I needed to do in order for the death to be believable. Even the minor choking with my hand had to be done right, so it didn't look like I tried to hurt Emilio. All postmortem marks on Emilio's neck would show my hand mark on his neck, but I can and will explain that away with kinky sex. It may have led to his death by him choking, but how would poor-little-me know that? I was too busy doing as my master asked.

For added measure, I had a few of the maids in the house sleep with him in exchange for money or a personal favor. They encouraged Emilio and got him to do things that would make him appear to others like he was always into that shit. Our security has witnessed him multiple times with rope around his neck or collars. He would beg the girl or guy to choke him; Emilio liked to give it and take it rough.

After determining his death, all we had left was to figure out how to keep Emilio's organization in the fold. That's why I got the marriage certificate. I made Emilio sign it, but I left the other part blank for Sylvia to sign. She always wanted his power and after years of abuse, she can finally have it. No more being the bargaining chip for her family's power. Sylvia can run things instead of being a side character.

I told the others it entitled Sylvia to all his contacts since they're married on paper. It shocked Sylvia to hear me say this, but she played along while we talked to them. I told them Sylvia would have to go back to Colombia and speak to her family about how to move forward and inform them of Emilio's death. From there, Sylvia would effectively take Emilio's place in the collective. She knows the business well enough; she knows everyone Emilio knew and more.

To top it off, Sylvia was a beautiful woman who could maneuver in ways the others can't. At first, the others didn't want to hear of it. But they finally relented that she'd be better at finding brand new contacts in South America. Especially since most enemies Emilio made becoming the head drug runner south of the border would be enemies of the collective.
