It was a dark sky, the moon was shining the streets in-front of a gambling den. The den was where all "effective gamblers" would come to up the stakes of anything of their choosing, all to gain something in return of there victory.

Most of these gamblers from the den would show up once and never appear again. Bad luck strikes on many unfortunate people in this den, while the fortunate look down on the losers.

"I can't believe it.....I WON!", said one fortunate man about the age of 24 as he successfully won a poker game off the second lowest ranking poker hand, a pair. His pair of 3s were able to triumph the unfortunate player he was up against, a mysterious girl who had a high card. The adult male was surprisingly excited about winning with only a pair of 3s...

What wasn't odd was how the man won, but what exactly he won.

(A few minutes ago)

Right as the game started, the girl, and the man, who introduced himself as Blane, set the stakes. With a normal game of poker they chose, presumably a normal bet was made. Blane set the bet to 100 dollars. Presumably a "normal bet" is what should have stayed at that amount. The girl on the other hand, was satisfied with this, or so it seemed until she raised the bet....

To 1000 dollars.

Blane was scared at first, but the fear faded away as he looked at the girl who was sitting across from him on the other side of the table. The girl looked down at her feet, her black bangs accompanied by her long black hair blocking the view of her face. She held up her 5 cards with one hand near to her face, but she seemed to have memorized the hand she was holding sense she didn't look at them anymore. Her only feature that could be seen from Blane's position, was her mouth. Her red plump lips peek through her hair, her lips connecting with her mouth forming a frown. Even though the girl had bet so much money, she seemed to be down in her own dumps, probably her mental affairs a grown women like her would be having at a time like, midnight, where one should be sleeping.

But the gamble of the night is calling for her.

Blane seeming convinced by the girl's negative energy, happily goes along as he thinks that she is bluffing.

Blane raises another 100.

Now the pot is 1,200.

Blane seems confident that he's going to win but not 100% sure sense he rarely ever gambles, especially when the stakes are this high.

He looks at the girl, whose face is still blocked by her long black hair, her eyes no where to be seen. He has no idea what she could be thinking

Or does he?

Blane thinks that she isn't such a confident girl, hiding behind her long black hair. Her looking down below the table where she shouldn't be looking suggests to himself that the girl can't even believe how unlucky she got in the cards luck gave her tonight.

His confidence has gone up to the point where he knows he's going to win. Blane smiles at the girl in the way as saying "This is my victory" non verbally. But she still hasn't moved from her predicament.

Until she uses her free hand that's laying on the table, near the 1000 dollar valued poker chips she placed in the middle, to gesture that she checks. Adding another 100 to the pot.

Blane is confident he would win and boldly places his cards down on the table. Showing of his measly pair of 3s.

For the second time, the girl makes her move and drops the cards she's been holding in her hand and reveals them.

A pig.

"I can't believe it.....I WON!", Blane yells in victory, truly lucky he won such money off a pair.

"It seems I got lucky, but I took my chances and was able to read you which lead me to my victory".

Blane babbles on....

"For a pretty lady like you to end the night like this, it's a shame. But maybe this game told me something that I wouldn't know unless I tried to know, and that is your pretty dumb. Who even bets over 1000$ just to lose? Maybe you should work on your poker hand more than your make up".

Blane scoffs at the girl for even trying to play against him. He would normally act this way towards people who he found lesser than him. He loved crushing weaker people in anything, as long as he can scrutinize them for even losing in the first place.

What he finds mostly odd is that the girl hasn't said a word to him this entire time. Even for losing 1000 $ she hasn't said anything.

Blane goes off once more, "Are you okay? For someone to lose so much money like this in only one game, it's sad. Only unfortunate people like you will experience this, never me. But lucky for you, I wouldn't stop playing a beauty like you to soon. So what do yup say to another game? See if you can win your money back. I'm such a nice guy right?".

Blane smiles with his eyes closed at the girl, thinking that only someone who lost so much money would continue playing, and so was right. He thought that someone like her to have that much money as a bet for one game means she had more whee that came from. Blane wanted to drain her pockets until he could be the true winner here.

What seems like a hopeless situation for the girl is abruptly cut off when she finally speaks those words Blane will remember for the rest of the night.

"You dumbass".
