Chapter 69

Arle's POV

I had been shot a lot of times, I had survived all of them because I had time to dodge so the bullet wouldn't hit a fatal point but I was so in shock from Alisa actually taking action against me that I didn't find it in me to move. The bullet went through my heart, flesh tearing where the bullet found its way, lodging itself in my heart after having torn it open. I fell to my knees, spitting blood from the internal bleeding. I had a few seconds at most, Alisa's aim was... too good.

I looked up at her not without effort and smiled.

"I don't regret what I've done one bit. I love Rosa, more than you ever will" I coughed up some more blood and my head swayed before I collapsed, not being able to hear Alisa's response.

I'm sorry Clervie... Seems like we won't be able to play tomorrow... Maybe next time...

Alisa's POV

"I love Rosa, more than you ever will"

Those words hit deep within me and I felt anger bubbling up inside me, taunting me to put a bullet in her head and end it all but I didn't have to wait long, right after she said that, she collapsed, her breathing coming to a stop and skin starting to lose its color from the blood loss, said blood now staining my floor...

I need someone that can keep secrets to dispose of the body... Only one person comes to mind.

I took my phone and called Dami.

"Tsaritsa? With all due respect, why the late hour?"

" I need help with something. Come to my house, the back door is open" I ordered.

"Right away, Tsaritsa"

I hung up and leaned against the doorframe, the cool breeze of the night caressing my face. I sighed and closed my eyes.

"I'm so tired..."

Dami's POV

Why would the Tsaritsa call at this hour? I was a light sleeper so I had heard the ringtone but if I hadn't picked up... something would have awaited me the next morning and I was not keen on finding out what. I quickly got dressed and rushed to her home.

I was about to knock on the back door when it suddenly opened up by itself. I noticed her look of tiredness but didn't comment on it. Her skin was covered in a thin layer of sweat too and the mop she was holding had a slight red tone at the ends.

"Careful, the floor is wet" she warned.

"What do you need me for?" I asked warily.

She leaned the mop against a wall and walked away towards the garden, I followed behind.

"I need you to get rid of a body, someone was pestering me too much and I had to get rid of her. Not a word of this to anyone, understand?"

"As always, Tsaritsa"

Great, just another body cleanup. Easy and simple, I would be done in some minutes and I could go back to sleep in my wonderfully soft and fluffy be-

My mind went blank and my words died in my mouth when the Tsaritsa lifted up the cloth covering the face of the deceased. I would have sworn my heart actually stopped for a second.

"Arlecchino..."

"That's right. Now, don't snitch to anyone and we'll be fine, dove. Understand?" She placed a hand on my shoulder and I felt my body tense up.
