Alain's POV
My young masters decided to drop by a mall to buy their children some toys and books before going home. We came from a luncheon that Young master Felipe needed to attend and he brought Young master Jun as his date.
After buying the toys and books, we all headed to the valet parking area to get the car when I noticed a commotion not too far from us. I was alarmed to see people warning us from something so I looked around to check what it was. When I saw a ten wheeler truck heading fast towards us, I immediately dragged my masters out of the truck's way, avoiding it in a split second.
Not far from us, a loud crashing sound and screeching of tires could be heard.
"Are you okay, young master Jun, young master Felipe?" I asked in concern.
They looked shocked but they soon recovered and nodded in response. I sighed in relief when I learned that they are safe.
I would never forgive myself if something happened to them, especially to my young master Jun who had saved me and my sister from that dark pit many years ago. We owe him our lives and if giving my life is the only way to thank him, I would do it without any hesitation.
"Is that Joshua?" Young master asked no one in particular.
His voice was full of terror while looking at Joshua's direction.
I could feel that something was wrong with the way Joshua was sobbing with his daughter in his arms. Young master Jun rushed to him and both Young master Felipe and I followed him. They both crouched to see him on his eye level.
"Justine." Joshua said as soon as he saw my masters.
The moment that Justine's name came out of his mouth, my young master's face paled.
He turned to look at the accident and I turned to look at it as well. I instantly recognized Justine's car and my heart beat erratically in terror.
Please don't let it be Justine! I prayed for the first time in a while.
I did not believe in God anymore when my sister and I suffered from that pit for a long time. I felt like no one could save us even if I prayed the whole day.
And when young master Jun saved us and took us to their mansion that was when I saw the light again. He gave us food, he clothed us and he gave us shelter. He treated us like he was our equal and he never asked for something in return.
My sister and I declared our servitude to him for the rest of our lives and personally, I was prepared to grow old and die in servitude alone and without a wife.
My love life is not of importance to me anymore because what was important to me is my young master and his safety.
Not until he showed up and gave me his bright and sweet smile. I never thought of feeling something unfamiliar towards a person with the same sex as mine. I tried to stop myself from feeling something inappropriate for him because he is from a different world.
I am just a servant and he is the friend of my master so I should not feel that way.
Like my young master, he treated me nicely. He treated me like I was his equal and he never showed me a look of contempt. He always smiled like he was the sun himself.
So, as much as I would love to stop my madness, I could not help but to fall in love with him. I fell deeper and deeper until I could not bear the weight any longer.
I decided to confess to him and tell him how I felt but my hope shattered when I heard him talking about someone he loves.
The way he describes this man clearly shows that he is in love with him. His eyes were twinkling and his smiles were somewhat different. It was like he reserved those smiles just for him.
