It didn't take long for him to reach Amy's house, it was actually quite close to his.

He took a deep breath as he walked up the front path, he wasn't fond of large groups..

He hated having to deal with everyone's conversations and the loud noise, honestly he'd rather stay at home and sleep.

He shook the thought away as he raised his fist slightly and knocked on the door. A second later Shadow was being pulled into a hug by Rouge. "You made it darling! Thought you would have bailed on me" The bat said smiling at the black striped hedgehog.

"No one's really here besides Me, Sonic, Amy, Knucks, you and Silver so don't worry Edgelord you'll be fine" She said flicking Shadow on the forehead playfully.

Shadow raised an eyebrow at the fact the group was smaller today, usually there would be Eggman and a few others here.

He sighed and rolled his eyes at the bat's statement. "Like I'd ever miss a party.." He muttered in a sarcastic tone.

He gently grabbed her wrist and pulled her towards him so he could mess up her hair. "You're such a pain in the ass sometimes"

Rouge giggled and tackled Shadow putting him in a chokehold. "Nice try Emohog I just did my hair" She said before ruffling Shadow's quills.

Shadow growled and struggled to get out of her chokehold, but Rouge was surprisingly strong, or he was just weak.

"Rouge let go of me!- You're ruining my quills!" He tried to grab the bat's arms and loosen her grip but failed as she only squeezed harder.

"Apologize! Right now! Or else I'm taking you upstairs an-"

"Shads! You actually showed up?!"

Sonic interrupted and shoved Rouge away pulling Shadow into a tight hug.

Shadow was caught off guard when Sonic suddenly embraced him, he wasn't used to the contact, no one ever really hugged him.

Sonic was definitely the more affectionate one, and it was obvious he was happy to see him.

"Of course I showed up, you think I'd bail on Blue's big day?" He said in a sarcastic tone, and he tried to push Sonic away, but he was stuck in the tight hug.

Sonic didn't pick up on Shadow's sarcasm and released Shadow and helped him up. "I'll leave you two alone~"

And before Shadow could argue she was already walking away preferably to find Knuckles.

"Soo...Hows my favorite Hedgehog doing~?"

Sonic, asked leaning against Shadow who had walked over to the couch to sit on it. Shadow had a small scowl on his face as he watched Rouge walk away, Traitor..

His expression softened slightly when Sonic sat next to him and asked the question.

"Just dandy," he said in an annoyed tone, he was definitely not "dandy" as he put it. "And I would much rather be at home."

"Of course you would but...Your here with me celebrating my birthday~ Whig makes things even better is that I can legally flirt with you now"

Oh yeah. That was DEFINITELY something Sonic felt proud of admitting. Eh not the worst he's said. Shadow rolled his eyes at Sonic's last comment and looked away from him, a small blush dusted his cheeks as he ignored the annoying warm and fluttery feeling in his chest.

He hated that feeling, he's hated it for a few months now and he still didn't understand why it appeared.

He stayed silent and only responded with a sarcastic.. "Lucky me.."
