Dragon Maid's Desolation

This Little Prankster is a Dragon?! (...Why is she so small?)

Laying on the wooden floor of Kobayashi's apartment is our redheaded Dragon, Smaug. He's sleeping as the morning light starts to pour into the living room.

Smaug's sleep isn't so peaceful though, he grunts and twitches a few times. A bead of sweat drips down his face and as it falls and hits the ground, his Amber eyes snap open.

He blinks a few times in confusion and looks to the side, only to get a face full of the morning sunlight. He grunts in anger and closes his eyes, and covers them with his long tail.

"Stupid sun..." Smaug mutters as he turns around and uncovers his eyes.

He lets out a large yawn, showing off his large and sharp teeth. His tail taps him on the shoulder and he hums as he glances at it. His tail then points to the kitchen and Smaug tilts his head in question and glances over.

In the kitchen is Smaug's older sister, Tohru. She takes a deep breath, then breaths out a massive amount of fire onto the stove top, shooting our black smoke.

"AAAAAH! OMNES destruxistis!" Smaug yells as he shoots up, covered in smoke.

A few hours later Smaug if standing beside his sister, as she walks beside Kobayashi. Kobayashi is complaining to Tohru.

"Good grief. Why did you completely burn our ingredients?"

"Well, my apologies." Tohru nervously smiles.

Smaug huffs as smoke plumes out of his nose. "She burned all the food." He says in irritation.

"Have more faith in the gas stove." Kobayashi stays to Tohru.

"I thought the heat wasn't strong enough." Tohru states.

"Use a flame, not a blaze. Your brain was the thing that wasn't strong enough."

Smaug Snickers loudly and Tohru glares at him, and uses her tail to wake the back of his head. Smaug yells out in anger and glares at his sister.

"At least I know how to cook." Tohru glares at Smaug.

Smaug growls loudly, and she growls back. Kobayashi sweat drops as the three cross the street. Then she starts to get lost in thought.

'That reminds me, this is my first time going shopping with them, isn't it?'

Smaug tail wakes him on the side of his head and he starts to yell at it. Tohru just Snickers at her brothers misfortune.

'I wonder what they're like when they are shopping.'

Smaug crosses his arms and turns his head away.

Smaug and Tohru stop in front of Oborosuka Shopping District, but Kobayashi keeps going.

"Huh?" Tohru questions, making Kobayashi stop and give her a questioning look. "This is the shopping district." She motions to the open market.

"You don't use the department store over there?" Kobayashi points to it.

Smaug huffs and crosses his arms. "That place reminds us of a castle, and I've had enough of those for a lifetime. Besides, there's no gold in there."

"Castle?"

"The white color reminds me of the crusader's bases." Tohru informs.

Smaug licks his lips and mutters something about tasty crusaders.

"And the shopping district?" Kobayashi asks.

"It's like the guild's bazaars. It's a little better."

"It's also a lot easier to fight in an open space!" Smaug states.
