The world lost a great woman today
Her acting was beyond brilliant
Magnificent in every way.
Sometimes it's hard to believe
But it's true just the same
We never for a moment think
That legends won't be around forever.
But to be fair, they'll never shrink
If we do our parts.
And honor their memory,
They'll live on alive in our hearts
You see, they'll never leave.
Born to this world in the year 1934
Of the 28th day,
In the final month.
She lived for 89 years.
It still seems so surreal.
She died in a hospital,
In Westminster.
Only a few hours ago.
The world wasn't ready
To lose its acting queen.
All I hope for now,
Is for her family to find some form of peace.RIP Dame Maggie Smith.
