But this time was different; it was almost an eclipse, and the man still hadn't returned. Tonowari, a good friend of the man, had set off with a few fighters to go find the man.
It had been nearly twelve hours later when they had returned with nothing. They spent months searching for the man, but to no use.
They had decided to stop their search, not being able to waste the resources. Txana and Roxtos mother had broken down having to face the truth that he was really gone.
They had figured he came across an akula and just got unlucky. Only a few months later, Roxto and Txana discovered their mom's body.
She had decided to take her own life, not being able to be alive without her mate. Txana and Roxto then moved in with their grandmother. Ronal and Tonowari were taking care of them as much as they could.
That's why it hit Txana like a spear in the chest when she found out Ao'nung and his friends had left Lo'ak out beyond the reef alone.
Txana and Tsireya were sitting on the dock, waiting to see if they had found the boy. Txana had her head rested in the girl's lap.
"Do you think he's okay?" Txana whispered, a few tears pooling in her eyes. "I'm sure he is okay; they will find him." Tsireya comforted herself, wiping a tear that fell down the girl's cheek.
Tsireya was terrified for the boy; he had no idea what was beyond the reef, and he had no idea how to protect himself, but she couldn't let Txana know that she didn't want to scare the girl further.
The two girls waited for what felt like hours, but by some miracle Tonowari had rode up on his skimwing Lo'ak on the back. Txana didn't think she felt more of a relief in her life. She wondered how she would have felt all those years ago if Tonowari had came up with her dad on the back of his skimwing.
The two girls stood up with concerned faces trying to get a good look at him to see if he was okay. Lo'ak glanced over, a surprised look on his face, not expecting Txana to look so upset.
After Jake Sully and Neytiri chewed Lo'ak out and Tonowari made Ao'nung apologize, then everyone went home.
Txana grabbed Tsireya's arm before she could leave. "Let's take Lo'ak out tomorrow, just us." Txana suggested. Tsireya agreed, telling the girl to come get her when she had Lo'ak.

Txana had found Lo'ak at the beach just sitting and letting the waves hit his legs. Txana noticed that he looked oddly peaceful.
She went down and sat next to him. He glanced over at her before looking back to the ocean.
"How are you?" Txana asked, worried about the boy. "I'm fine." Lo'ak spoke dimissivly. "I'm sorry." Txana apologized on Ao'nung's behalf.
"It's fine; it's not your fault." The boy responded. "Lo'ak." Txana spoke, turning to face the boy. He turned towards her. Txana just wanted to hug him and tell him everything would be okay.
"Come out with me and Tsireya. We can get away for a little." Txana hummed. The boy had thought about it for a second before agreeing.
They had both gone and got Tsireya. Once they got the girl, they all went into the woods. Txana and Tsireya took the forest boy to a secret spot. It was a natural hot spring that only very few knew about.
Once they had settled in the water, Lo'ak spoke up. "I've been meaning to ask you, what was that concerned look for on your face last night?" he asked, looking at Txana.
"Oh, um." Txana stuttered out, not expecting him to ask that. She didn't know if she should tell the truth. Lo'ak glanced over at Tsireya, seeing the concerned look on her face.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked that." Lo'ak apologized. "No, no, it's okay." Txana assured. She began to explain as Tsireya wrapped a comforting arm around the girl's waist. "My father traveled out beyond the reef when I was young and never returned."
"That's why I was so scared when I found out you were left out there." Txana whispered.
Lo'ak made eye contact with the girl as she spoke, seeing tears lightly flood them. Tsireya had grabbed the girl's hand, giving it a comforting peck before letting it go.
"I'm sorry I scared you." He whispered, putting a comforting hand on the girl's shoulder.
"It's okay; it wasn't your fault." Txana sniffed, smiling at the boy as she put her other hand on top of his, giving it a squeeze before letting her hand fall back to her side.
Tsireya had smiled at the interaction, knowing what was to come. That's when Lo'ak officially knew he had not only had feelings for Tsireya but Txana too.
