Txana was doing her chores when she heard someone shout her name from the distance. She looked over in curiosity, seeing her girlfriend running to her as fast as her legs could take her.
Once she finally got to the taller girl, she started babbling nonsense. Txana could make out some words such as "new people, tree climbers, teaching, and weird arms."
"Whoa, whoa, Reya, slow down!" Txana giggled at the girl's excitement. "What happened?" she asked, hoping to get a clear answer out of the girl.
"Did you not hear the horn?" Tsireya asked. "No, I wanted to come see what was happening, but my grandmother insisted I get my chores done." Txana muttered rolling her eyes, going back to her work.
"Well, a family came to our shore! They are tree climbers. Their body looks so much different than ours. Anyway, my mother and father granted uturu." Tsireya squealed.
New people? Txana definitely had to check that out. "Father said me and Ao'nung have to help teach them the ways of the water." Tsireya grinned.
Txana loved her smile; the way her dimples showed had her melting. "Guess Ao'nung wasn't too happy about that, huh." Txana joked.
"No! but it's okay, I'm sure he will warm up." Tsireya smiled full of optimism. "Oh!" she lit up like she had an idea. "Come with us to help them tomorrow!"
"I don't know." Txana muttered. "I don't want to invade," she added. "Please, please, please!" Tsireya pouted.
Ewya, how was Txana ever supposed to deny her? "Okay, I guess I'll come for you." Txana flirted.
"Yay! Oh, and bring Roxto. Ah, I gotta go. I forgot I was helping with supper." Tsireya rushed out, giving the taller girl a kiss on the lips as she rushed off.
Once Txana made her way home, she informed Roxto about their activities tomorrow, then went straight to bed.

"Roxto, hurry up!" Txana called over to the boy, stuffing his mouth full of breakfast. "I'm coming!" Roxto spoke, standing up and slurping down the rest of his meal.
They began their journey to the beach. "So are you excited to meet them?" Roxto asked his sister. "Yeah, I guess so Reya said they have weird arms, so I want to check that out." Txana giggled.
"I'd watch out. Ao'nung said one of those tree huggers already has eyes for her." Roxto laughed.
Txana frowned. "Eh, but don't worry, you know Reya only has eyes for you." Roxto comforted her, throwing his arm around the shorter girl's shoulder seeing her frown.
"Whatever." Txana playfully scoffed, shrugging his arm off her shoulders. After a few more minutes, they arrived at the beach.
Txana immediately spotted her girlfriend with some boy talking to her; she assumed that was the one Roxto mentioned. They did in fact have weird arms.
Tsireya looked up and spotted the girl waving her over as Roxto went to Ao'nung. Txana walked over, seeing the boy analyze her as she did.
"Lo'ak, this is Txana." Tsireya spoke as Lo'ak put his fingers to his forehead, bringing them down, Txana did the same.
There was some awkward silence neither one knowing what to say before Tsireya spoke up. "Great, now that you guys are out here, let me introduce you to everyone, then we can get started.
Tsireya introduced Roxto and Txana to everyone. Kiri, the oldest girl, looked like she wanted to be anywhere but there. The oldest boy, Neteyam, has a kind smile and fierce protectiveness over his siblings.
The youngest girl, Tuk, was too innocent for her own good, which Txana thought was good to have at that age.
Then Lo'ak, whom Txana wasn't too sure about yet. She watched him as he looked at Tsireya's love already pooling in his eyes. Txana didn't like that.
Tsireya led them to the dock, jumping into the water, with Txana and the rest following behind.
Txana swam under Tsireya, smiling up at the girl and poking her dimple when she smiled back.
Txana swam out from under her and looked back at the Sully kids; they were not good divers.
As they swam further through the ocean,
The two Sully boys swam up for air. Tsireya waved her hand, telling them to come back.
They only swam for a little bit more before the tree huggers needed more air. "These guys are bad divers." Roxto signed.
Txana nodded her head. "They look like fish out of water." Txana signed. "Which is weird because they are in water." She added, pretending to ponder.
Tsireya waved her hand at them. "Stop. They're learning," she disciplined. Ao'nung just rolled his eyes.
They headed back up to meet with the Sullys. Txanas head popped above water hearing Tuk complain that they are too fast.
"You guys are not good divers." Ao'nung laughed. "Maybe swinging through trees." Txana added chuckling. Tsireya hit both their heads as Roxto laughed.
Tsireya gave Txana her disapproving look, making the girl put her head down in shame. "Where is Kiri?" Roxto asked. "Kiri?" Ao'nung asked, already forgetting about the girl.
Once they found the girl, they ended the lesson. Txana offered to stay and help Tsireya collect some seashells for her next project. Everyone else had left.
"So what do you think?" Tsireya asked the girl, picking up a blue seashell. "They seem alright." Txana hummed, looking for more seashells.
"I don't like the way Lo'ak looks at you though." Txana added frowning. "What do you mean?He looks at me the same way he looks at you." Tsireya questioned, still searching for shells.
"Reya, he does not look at us the same." Txana chuckled. "He looks at you like you're the prettiest girl he's ever seen. Even the boys have mentioned it."
Tsireya looked at the taller girl. "The boys are idiots; that means nothing." Tsireya spoke, walking up to her. "It doesn't matter how he looks at me; you know I'll always want you." Tsireya looked into the girls eyes, glancing at her lips in the process.
Txana pulled the girl into a kiss. Every time Txana kissed Tsireya, it felt like the first. The curly-haired girl smiled, pulling back.
"I guess I'll just have to let him know we are together." Txana smirked. "Do whatever you want; just don't be mean." Tsireya pleaded.
"I won't. Oh Ewya, the sun is setting. I have to get home before I get grounded again." Txana frowned, looking at the sun as it disappeared below the horizon.
"Go, I'll finish up." Tsireya offered. Txana kissed the girl's cheek before running off, shouting her goodbyes as she ran.
