May every biscuit be an honor to Dame Maggie Smith
May she forever rest in peace, as she forever will stay in my heart~
"Take a biscuit, Potter"
~
Blaise stared blankly at the card in his hand. On top of it was a name and under the name stood a picture from a couple with a little baby. Probably their son. The couple was kissing, so you couldn't see their faces, and the woman was holding the baby. Pansy came home two hours later to find Blaise stuck in his position.
"What's that?" Blaise didn't look up. Pansy sat next to him and took the card out of his hand. "Is that Draco?"
"I think so, but I have no idea who the woman is." Blaise answered in shock that his best friend didn't tell him he was seeing someone.
"Now you say so, I haven't ever seen her before. But is that their baby? I mean Draco, children?" Blaise looked shocked. He hadn't even noticed the baby because he was too focused on the woman trying to see who she was.
"So he was seeing someone and they had a baby and he never told me?" Blaise felt betrayed. Pansy sat next to him, trying to sooth him/
"He must've had a good reason, Blaise." But she sounded disappointed too. "Why don't we floo over to his apartment?
- AT THE BURROW -
"I miss Mione Harry. We haven't seen her in half a year. Are you sure she's okay?"
"She sends a letter once a week. Come on now, we have to go or we'll be late for the Weasley brunch. I miss her too, but I'm sure she's alright. She's Hermione Granger after all." Harry answered his wife. He was a bit concerned because Hermione hadn't sent a letter yet this week.
Once everyone was seated, everyone dug into their meal. Conversations flowed until a pitch black owl started tapping the window. Harry looked up and gave a smile. "That's Mione's owl." He stood up and took the letter from the owl. For the first time, the owl just returned, not waiting for a reply or a treat.
"Mione had a black owl? Never thought that Mione would ever buy one."
"It's name is Apollo." Harry said as he opened the letter.
"Read aloud, Harry. We wanna know too."
Dear Harry and Weasleys,
I know you haven't heard from me lately. We haven't seen each other for exactly 5 months and 26 days. I didn't want to take distance, but I was scared and didn't know how to tell you. Harry, I suppose you still remember I told you that I was seeing someone.
Well, it's about that someone actually. We started dating in the middle of our last year at Hogwarts. So, if I have my math right, that makes it around three and a half years now. Last, anniversary, the day I last saw you, he proposed to me. But the real surprise was one for him. I was three months pregnant at the time. You could hardly notice my baby bump back then, but he certainly loved talking to my stomach.
Anyway, the woman probably started counting further and know I'm around my due date. Which would be right. Yesterday, I gave birth to a beautiful healthy baby boy, named Scorpius. The man I'm with didn't want to tell anyone about us and Scorp, but he knew I missed you too much and I could never leave you behind. I also want to invite you to my house. You can come today, the floo is open, just say Hermione's place.
Love Hermione
Harry stopped reading the letter and pulled out a card. It looked the same as the one Blasie had, only in this one the man's face was better hidden in Hermione's curls.
"I don't know him but his face is one I've seen before. I'm sure." Harry said as he looked at it. He passed the card and let the rest see it. As Ginny saw it she started grinning. "What is it, Gin?"
"I know who he is." Harry looked at his wife, confused. "I've always told her they had this tension and I was right." She said in a sing-song voice.
"Well, who is it then?"
- AT HERMIONE'S AND DRACO'S PLACE -
"And that's about it." Draco finished his story, not having mentioned Hermione's name once.
Suddenly the floo reopened and the whole Weasley can came out. They all, except Ginny, looked surprised to see the Slytherins there, but assumed they were friends of Hermione's fiancée until Harry's mouth dropped open in realization. He stood there gobsmacked.
"No way..." He muttered, looking over to Ginny, who grinned at him. "Of course I recognized the bloke's face!" The other Weasleys were confused, as were Blaise and Pansy. What in Merlin's name were the Weasley's and Potter doing in Draco's house? Blaise and Ron spoke up at the same time.
"What are you doing here?"
"We're here for Hermione and Scorpius, what about you?" Percy sneered at them.
"Draco and ... Wait, there"s no way! Hermione Granger? I should've known!" Pansy replied, smirking at Draco. Ron and Blaise being too oblivious, still hadn't realized Draco and Hermione were together. The rest of the Weasley's mouths had dropped open.
Though Voldemort died in 1980, they never thought of a Malfoy with a muggleborn. No, of course, they weren't mad. Hermione had been a lot happier since the middle of their last year in Hogwarts, though no one knew why. that was, until now. Hermione had been dating Draco Malfoy ever since. Ron and Blaise were confused, everyone was staring at Draco with a smirk, Ginny and Pansy, a sneer, Percy, or a smile, the rest of the room.
"Okay, somebody, explain please!" Blaise begged loudly. Draco opened his mouth to reply when a cry interrupted.
"Excuse me, I'll be right back. " He stood up and walked out the living room towards the nursery. He ran upstairs to find Hermione holding a bundle of blankets, cooing it softly.
"Can't they be quiet for a moment? I just got him back to sleep." Hermione told him, looking tired. 36 hours ago, she was going through labor and now she was holding her son, trying to calm him down. Draco leaned down and gave her a kiss on her forehead.
"Go tell them, I'll be there in a minute, with Scorpius." Draco picked the bundle out of her arms as she smiled at him. She pecked his lips before walking to the living room.
"Next time you come over, be quieter. You woke Scorp up and he's not an easy sleeper. He's been keeping me up all night." Molly and Arthur shot the girl a sympathetic smile, while the rest of the Weasleys and Harry squeezed her in a group hug.
The next two minutes were filled with felicitations and happy reunion words.
"Euhm, Granger? Not to be rude, but why do you have to watch Scorpius? I mean Draco is his father." Ron's mouth fell open in realization.
"He still doesn't know? Blaise, you are too oblivious." Draco kissed Hermione's forehead and handed Scorpius back as he wanted his mother. "You alright, Mia?"
"Yeah, just tired." Draco opened his arms and she leaned against his chest. Draco rested his head on top of hers and hugged her now somewhat flat stomach.
"Euhm Draco care to explain?" Pansy laughed at her husband's oblivion. You'd think he'd figured it out by now.
"Hermione here is Scorps mother." Draco said as he smiled at the witch in his arms. Blaise's mouth dropped open while the rest laughed. Draco was happy, happy that Hermione had convinced him to tell his friends. Because now, all was well.
