----

The night was thick with tension as Matteo and Albert found themselves cornered in a dimly lit alley, the sounds of shouting and fists colliding echoing around them. Matteo’s heart raced as he glanced at his friend, who was holding his side, blood seeping through his fingers.

“We have to get out of here!” Matteo shouted, adrenaline surging through him. Albert nodded, grimacing in pain.

With swift determination, Matteo grabbed Albert's right arm and pulled him to his feet. They stumbled toward the alley’s exit, the shadows looming around them like predators. The fight had erupted over a deal, and it had spiraled out of control.

“Matteo, I can’t…” Albert gasped, struggling to keep up.

“Just a little further, man! You’re gonna be okay,” Matteo urged, his voice steady despite the chaos. They darted into the street, the cool night air hitting their faces like a splash of cold water. Matteo looked around frantically for a vehicle, spotting a cab idling nearby.

“Get in!” he shouted, pushing Albert into the backseat before sliding in beside him.

“Hospital. Fast!” Matteo ordered the driver, who nodded and hit the gas. The city lights blurred past them as Matteo assessed Albert’s wounds. “Stay with me, Al. You’re going to be alright.”

“I can’t breathe…” Albert murmured, his face pale.

“Just hold on. I’ll make sure you’re fine,” Matteo replied. He grabbed Albert's hand, squeezing it tightly.

As they approached the hospital, the bright lights shone like a beacon of hope. Matteo leaped out before the cab had fully stopped, rushing to the back door and pulling Albert out with a strength fueled by fear.

“Help! My friend’s hurt!” Matteo yelled as they stumbled toward the entrance. Nurses rushed forward, wheeling a stretcher to them.

“Get him on!” a nurse commanded, and Matteo helped lift Albert onto the stretcher.

“Stay awake, Al! You’re almost there!” Matteo shouted as he followed the stretcher inside, the sterile smell of antiseptic filling his lungs. The chaos of the hospital enveloped them, the frantic energy and muffled voices creating a sense of urgency.

As they wheeled Albert away for treatment, Matteo felt a rush of helplessness wash over him. He stood there, watching them disappear through the double doors, praying for his friend’s safety. He knew the streets were dangerous, but in that moment—his heart ached with the weight of their choices and the bonds that held them together.

This moment can serve as a pivotal point in the story, heightening the tension and deepening Matteo's character. Here’s how you might develop this scene:

---The Hospital Corridor

Matteo stood outside the hospital room, his thoughts consumed by the responsibilities that weighed heavily on him. His phone vibrated in his pocket, cutting through the noise of beeping machines and hushed voices. He glanced at the caller ID—an unknown number.

Reluctantly, he answered, his voice steady but laced with urgency. "Sir..... Sir Matteo"

The voice on the other end was grave. “We’ve got Victor. He’s in a place which you wanted him”

Matteo’s heart raced as his lip curled up in a smirked. Victor, his former associate turned rival, had always been a loose cannon, and his capture could change everything. “Good job, once Albert is out of danger I'll make sure to visit him myself” he replied, his mind already racing with what he'll  do to him.

“Yes Sir, I'll make sure of this, and I'll inform Mia too.”

Matteo hung up, his thoughts spiraling. This was the moment he’d been waiting for, but it also meant confronting the chaos of the underworld he had tried to keep everyone  he love away from. He could almost see her face—innocent and unaware of the danger.

He took a deep breath, steeling himself. Whatever it took, he had to handle this. For himself and also for what he hold dearly in his heart.
