I thought about what Astro said. Maybe I should listen and talk to Shelly about it..if she's not mad at me. Hopefully she isn't! Right..?
I marched up to a machine, only to find Shelly reaching the machine faster than me. I sighed, maybe this was the time to apologize?
She hummed a tune while I listened. I didn't even notice time had passed until Shelly was almost about to complete her machine.
I mustered up the courage and went over to Shelly, tapping her shoulder in hopes to not startle her. But bad news, it did.
"Ah!" She shrieked, making me jump too. "Oh, sorry!" I replied, not in my usual manner but something different. Maybe it's really just a glitch.
"Vee?" Shelly muttered, recognizing my voice instantly as she turned to me with a curious expression.
"Ah, yes! It's me Vee. I just wanted to clarify what happened—" I paused for a brief moment. "—and apologize." I said, looking at Shelly's unreadable expression.
"Later in the elevator." Shelly replied coldly, finishing the machine which made the alarms blare loudly. In response, she grabbed me by my wrist and rushed me to the elevator.
After that, she cornered me which gave me a really weird feeling that made my system overheat a little. I think it's a system update.. but I'll work on it later.
"Soo, what's your excuse?" Shelly said as she looked at me with a curious expression, no signs of anger? Strange.
"It's just that I'm not very fond of hugs." I lied while smiling, trying to make it look genuine. "And.. I'm sorry for embarrassing you." I replied, my words breaking the awkward silence between us.
The elevator closed after everyone got to the machine and in response Shelly just nodded and shrugged it off, making her way to Tisha.
I shaked my head before going back to Astro who was about to sleep so I decided to surprise him. "Ra—Boo!" I..wait why did I almost attempt a dinosaur noise? What the hell.
"Oh! Vee? ugh!" Astro said in annoyance in which he was completely startled by me and jumped upon seeing me. "XD, sorry!" I said, displaying an XD on my screen.
After our interaction it was card picking time and everyone else picked medical attention since half of the players were injured. Except me. I'm so cool right?
I chuckled to myself as I picked the same option as everyone else, not wanting to get jumped for picking Tech savvy. Like that card was literally named and made for me!
Card picking was done and everyone was silenced as they saw Boxten pick Blind grab immediately as the cards were put down. Guess I'll be seeing a live execution.
Elevator door opens.
Everyone unfocused their gaze on Boxten while I focused mine on Astro leaving the elevator. I went behind him to admire him for a little while before parting my ways with him.
I found two machines, Jackpot! Not until I saw Tisha and Shelly enter the room together..Dang it I really wanted some extra tapes! So just that I could flex it to Dandy.
"You can do it Tisha!" Shelly exclaimed with a smile, but I saw her glancing at me from time to time. Until my machine was finished. That was strange..
Everything is weird.
