"Eh?!" I replied, my cheeks dusting a slight reddish tint as her question caught me off guard. "I mean, if you don't want too, that's alright..!" Vee responded with a nervous expression.
"It's fine, I'll consider the idea." I smiled as I noticed Vee's nervousness. "By the way, the only reason I asked you was because you were the only one that kept getting injured." Vee replied, making my smile fade a bit.
"Oh! Thanks, I'll surely be careful now." I said before it was card picking time. Which was a really hard choice, but we all finalized our decision with mostly Tech savvy while others picked First aid. Noone got injured, seriously.
The cards were settled down as we all chatted and others waited for the door to open. But I can see the impatient look on the others' face as they waited with a disturbed look on their face.
Elevator door opens.
Everyone stopped chatting and rushed outside the elevator as they didn't wanna alert the twisteds. Pebble sat down beside me as he looked at me with a curious expression.
"Hey buddy, can you distract now?" I asked as I kneeled down to pet him. "Bark!" He responded as he tried to get out of my touch gently and ran around in circles.
And after that...he ran away. Didn't really expect much but still, I giggled as I turned to Vee who was right beside me the whole time.
"Guess you really bonded well with that dog, eh?" Vee said with a amused smile forming on the edges of her mouth. "Mhm, he's just too cute." I replied as I smiled back.
"But still, how do you tame him so well? I've never been too accurate with feelings and sometimes hurt others." She asked with an unreadable expression.
"Oh, Just examine their features closely and it'll determine their emotion." I said quietly as Pebble passed through us with twisteds behind him. Atleast he's distracting now.
"..Maybe I should try that out." Vee said with a silent pause, before grabbing my wrist with her tail and walking off to maybe find us a machine.
"Hey, where are you leading me?" I asked, still unsure if it's just for a machine. "A machine, what else should we go for?" She replied, which confirmed the question in my thoughts.
"Oh, that explains, but are you sure there's an unoccupied one?" I said with uncertainty as Vee looked at me with an annoyed expression. Maybe I should've let her be.
"I can see the machine, Shelly." Vee replied quickly which she found the machine after. "Do it." She said as she pointed at the machine beside me. "No way I insist!" I said with a forced smile. She's a way faster extractor than me.
Vee just looked another direction which got me curious so I had to look too..and it's a machine. Well, that was a bit embarrassing for me.
I guess I'll try to look out more often.
