The day has finally arrived, and the entire university is buzzing with excitement, both inside and outside the stadium. Tonight is not just about the play—it's a pivotal moment for everyone connected to Gaelan and Fyo. This is where the greatest chapters of their lives will unfold, in ways no one could predict. You can feel the tension, the anticipation, as the stage is set. And now, with lights shining, cameras rolling, the story begins.
Narrator's POV:
Guests are pouring in nonstop, each more prominent than the last—celebrities, artists, even politicians. The staff can barely catch their breath as they struggle to keep everything running smoothly. This isn't just a university play anymore; it's something much bigger, all because the lead role is played by the president's son. Outside the venue, cameras are flashing, paparazzi swarming, reporters and journalists jostling for a glimpse or a scoop. The whole world seems to be watching.
Gaelan's POV:
I was completely stunned by the sheer number of people at the university. We sat in the car, waiting for the signal to step out. With me were my wife, Bridget, my mom, dad, and my brother Phyleus—all here to support me and witness what I've created and directed. Nerves were taking over; this was my first time doing something like this, and even though it's my biggest dream, the pressure was overwhelming. I reached for my phone to check if everything inside the venue was ready when Bridget gently asked, "Hey, are you nervous, love? Do you need anything?" Her voice was filled with concern.
I looked at her—yes, she's undeniably beautiful, but for some reason, I wasn't feeling the same attraction I used to. Before, she could captivate me effortlessly, whether she was dressed in something simple or just in pajamas. She always took my breath away, but not right now.
What's wrong with me? Damn it, Gaelan, that's your wife! Why don't you feel that spark anymore? And then it hit me... Fyodor. What have you done to me? Damn...
"Hey, love!" she called out, snapping her fingers in front of me. Her voice pulled me back to reality. I looked at her, smiled, and said, "Sorry, I'm just really stressed about everything." Like always, she took my hand and gently caressed it, her usual way of comforting me when I was overwhelmed. But something felt different. Ever since that night, things had changed, and I couldn't explain why. Everything she did, everything that used to calm me, now felt distant, almost meaningless—especially after meeting Fyo. Slowly, I was feeling... nothing.
I glanced at her again, forcing a smile. "I'm okay, love. Don't worry. Let's get ready; it's time to go." I gently moved her hand from mine and straightened myself, looking out the window just as a knock came from outside. "Sir, it's time!" one of the guards announced. I looked at Bridget one more time, giving her a nod to signal that it was time.
The guard opened the car door, and we were instantly met by a blinding wave of camera flashes and the chaotic buzz of voices, all trying to get our attention. I stepped out first, taking in the crowd, offering a small wave before turning back to her. I extended my hand, inviting her to follow. As always, she looked breathtaking, and the crowd couldn't help but be captivated by her beauty. She gracefully took my hand and slipped her arm through mine as we began our walk toward the entrance. As we made our way down the stairs, we were signaled to pause for photos. It was expected, so we stopped and posed, as we always did.
