The news that their world was doomed to fail didn't please anyone, and for good reason. After all, it wasn't some political threat they could fight to stop, but an honest-to-God madman who seemed ready to end their entire future. They couldn't even begin to imagine what would happen, if not for the God of Death's presence and assurances that everything would be alright. It was terrifying enough to imagine that dragons would need to be involved – which could be difficult enough to convince them since they had discovered the presence of an abused child amongst them. A black dragon with mesmerizing blue eyes that didn't seem to trust anyone aside from Choi Han and the two tiny cats from the Beast Tribes that had huddled around him, sympathetic of his situation, apparently, already familiar with the powerful baby.
The knowledge that there were people from another world with them would have stumped if not for the fact that Kim Rok Soo shared the exact same face as Cale Henituse, the count's first born who seemed not to have appeared alongside them. She had been a bit different those last few days, primarily since she had brought an unknown man into the Henituse household in the middle of the night, apparently uncaring about the rumors surrounding her as she was the future Crown Princess of the Roan Kingdom.
"So, I am Cale's second life," summarized Kim Rok Soo, looking at the Henituse's who were staring at her, a bit hesitant. After all, it was difficult for them to accept that for some reason, Cale had died in their original life before reincarnating and waking up again in her past. A past she couldn't remember.
The deity had already advised them not to be shocked by her lack of memories once they were acquainted with the future – the path that they had originally walked on had scarred Cale so much that it was better for her not to remember the horrible things that had plagued her and to save their world and their people without being burdened by the ghosts of her past.
The woman could feel someone gently tapping her body. The rough hand made the woman think of the hands of an exhausted parent. It was that warm.
"Young lady, it is morning."
But the voice was very profound. The woman felt chills throughout her body and her eyes subconsciously opened. Rather than the bright sunlight coming in through the window to warm the woman's eyes, what she saw was an old man standing there with a satisfied expression.
"It is surprising to see you wake up after a single attempt."
Kim Rok Soo turned towards Ron, seemingly confused about his behavior towards Cale. He was supposed to be her servant, and she was pretty sure noble ladies should be chaperoned when in the presence of another man in her chambers.
