I flopped down on my couch as I got used to the quiet of my home again. We had had a wonderful few days at my parents' house. Brendon came in with the bags and plopped himself next to me.
We looked at each other and smiled. I got up and checked through my mail. There was an official looking letter from UK Visas and Immigration. I opened it, and my 3 month visa had been granted. I grinned and went to show Brendon. He was in the living room talking to someone on his phone. Whatever the conversation was about, Brendon did not look happy. He paced back and forth. As I came through, he looked at me and winked. I was so happy right now that nothing could spoil it. Or so I thought.
I decided to see what I had in for food, but there wasn't much. I told Brendon that I was going food shopping and off I went.
When I returned, Brendon helped me with the bags. Once everything had been unpacked, I sat on the couch and put my feet up on my coffee table. Brendon came and sat with me.
"Genna, I have something that I need to tell you." He said. I turned my head to look at him.
"Ok?"
"I was on the phone earlier on with my ex, Sarah. She's pregnant, Genna, and she says the baby's mine."
I swallowed and blinked a couple of times. Brendon carried on.
"She wants us to be a couple again, but I can't. I will be there for the baby, but I don't love her anymore." He held my hand.
"So what does this mean for us, B?" I asked, my voice cracking a little. Brendon looked down.
"I don't know."
"Well, I will make this easy for you. We are over. I am not going to stand between a father and his child. So you go back to America and forget about m-m-m...." I couldn't finish the sentence. I sank to my knees and cried. Brendon was crying, too. He enveloped me, and we sobbed together. Neither of us wants to think of the option of not being together.

2 hours later, we both managed to compose ourselves to try and talk the situation out.
"I have my 3 month visa." I said as we held each other.
"That's good, Gen."
"The question is, when do I use it?" Brendon frowned and looked at me.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, do I come back with you when you go back? Or do I let you go back alone to sort the situation with Sarah?" I asked thoughtful.
"Babe, I want you with me when I speak with Sarah. I need you by my side."
"Really?" I raised an eyebrow. I don't know Sarah apart from what I have seen on the Internet.
"What I mean is, I don't want to unnecessarily upset Sarah."
"Genna, I have explained the situation to her regarding me and you. I have made it perfectly clear that me and her will never be a couple again. We just don't work. I will co parent with her, and that's it." Brendon said.
I believed what Brendon said, but Sarah could have a different agenda, I spoke about this, and Brendon somewhat agreed with me.
"I don't think she would do that, but I will keep my guard up." Was Brendons reply. I nodded and stood up to cook us some dinner.

The day before New Years Eve, I called work to resign. I then basically packed up my life for the next 3 months. I rented my flat out to Patsy to cover my mortgage. Brendon was so excited about me going to his home. We were catching flights from Gatwick airport early in the morning, so we travelled to London on the train and then made our way to the airport hotel. We checked in, and our room wasn't too bad. We overlooked a busy road, and we could see the runway, too. It was only for one night, though.
I had a look at the ensuite, and it was tiny. It made my bathroom look like it could be on Housewives of Atlanta or something.
Anyway we had some time before we went to get some food so we made out for a while. Brendons phone rang, and it was Sarah again. Brendon laid next to me and spoke to her. He was kissing my neck, and I moaned a little. Sarah must've asked what the noise was because Brendon said,
"Oh, that's my girlfriend, Genna. Actually, scratch that. It's the love of my life, Genna. I am gonna marry you one day, baby." He said and kissed my lips. "Oh,she's hung up." And he tossed his phone to one side and carried on making out with me.
We rested and then went down to the hotel dining room for some food. It was OK, I guess. After that, we headed back upstairs and both showered. Not together. The shower was too small for that. As I washed my hair, I sang along to my Bluetooth speaker. Underneath your clothes by Shakira. I knew Brendon could hear as when I got out,he was still there in his towel. I bit my lip and traced my fingers along his torso. Shakira was still singing about her territory. He pulled me to him, and we kissed. He guided us to the bed.
