“I know where my place is;
not with you.”

Two months to go and they're free. Everything happened so fast for the past few months and as much as Sohee hates to admit it, she finds comfort in the place she calls home with Hyunjae. It's no longer just a simple house, it's a home where she unlocked new memories, a place which gave her comfort and safety.

And as she counts the remaining days, she can't help but feel sad about it. She will surely miss a lot of things once the contract ends — including on that list, is Hyunjae.

Sohee convinced herself that he's just a colleague she has to work with. He's just a side character in her life and he'll be forgotten once she's back in her own world, but it's hard to forget someone when they are the mere reason why she feel happy without even trying.

There's something about the way Hyunjae annoys every part of her nerves and makes her wanna take care of him during his vulnerable days. His dad jokes were never funny to her and it was his laugh that makes her smile.

During their first days, she hated Hyunjae to the bones. She hated every single thing about the setup, but now that everything's coming to an end, it felt like she just wanna stay where she is instead. It feels like it would be hard to start all over again once she has attached herself to something that has no assurance.

It was one random night, where Sohee was laying in her bed while reading her script. As she felt her phone vibrating beside her, she heaved a sigh, expecting to see a message from her manager.

Surprisingly, it was a notification from her instagram account. There was a private message from her husband, asking if she wants to go out for dinner.

They were just walls apart and he could've just knocked on her door and ask.

She chewed on the pillows of her cheeks, wondering if she should agree or make up an excuse. It's free food, I shouldn't turn it down.

"Are you done?" Hyunjae asked, followed by a soft knock on her bedroom door. "We don't wanna stay out too late."

"Five seconds!" Sohee says and sprayed the perfume over her wirst and rubbed it together. One last glance in the mirror and a smile crept to her face.

She looked nice. Sohee took the time to dress up because she wants to remember this night as a time where no one told them what to do. The night where Hyunjae initiated something good for once and they just decided on their own to go out in public and spend their night as a married couple.

"Let's go?" she held her clutch against her sides, a smile on her red lips.

Hyunjae sits on the couch, wearing a simple buttoned up long sleeves, tucked under his trouser. He didn't bother dressing up too much but he still looked stunning.

"It's too..." he commented with a small pout while pointing at Sohee's dress. "But it looks good on you."

"Oh, thanks." she giggles, glancing down at her chest. She adjusted the neckline of her dress, pulling it up to cover more skin. She felt confident about her dress and how it fits her curves, hoping Hyunjae would feel the same.

When they arrived at the restaurant, a lovely man led them to a table for two, then handed out the menu and served a glass of wine while waiting for their orders.

"This is nice, isn't it?" Hyunjae smiled, looking around.

The ambiance was really good. Soft melodies of jazz music plays on the radio as the chandelier shines upon them.

"I think this is the first time we went out for dinner without killing each other." he commented with a chuckle.

"Because you're going to be a good tonight?" Sohee teased with a smirk.
