"So what did you said?"
"What will I say? I just beated him with the spatula around the dorm"Malini started chuckling hearing upon her son and his best friend's quarrel.
"Thikh kiya tumne ye isi ke layak hai"
Malini said while pinching Dhruv's ears.(You did right, he deserved it)
"Ouch! You are my mother or hers?"
"Of course-" She winked at Diya before she continued "-I am hers"
And with this both the woman started laughing.Being betrayed by his own mother Poor Dhruv sat down infront if his food with a pouting face.
"Stop pouting like a pig"
"Aunty he is a real pig, you know-"
"Bass Bass khana thanda ho raha hai"
(OK ok, food is getting cold)Dhruv being embarrassed cut off Diya in the middle.
Being familiar with such acts of her Son, Malini Smiled and started serving the other duo."Try this, I made especially for you"
Malini said offering the payasam to Diya. A smile broke out on Diya's face before she said."Surely"
ꕤ
"Dhruv Kitni baar bolu ghar pohoch ke call karti hu"
(How many times will I tell that I'll call you when I reach home)Diya almost yelled through the phone while driving towards her home.
It was almost evening and the sky turned a bit of orange with hues of pink and red, making the sky an absolute example of art by Mother Nature.
People with their people walking in hand to hand throughout the hustling and bustling of the streets.
Making the evening more beautiful.
"I shouldn't have left you alone like this"
Dhruv said being annoyed and concerned."Oh you care for me this much?"
"Log darr jayenge teri chudail jaisi shakal Dekh ke, toh logo ko samjhane ke liye koi hona chahiye na, ki tum insaan hi ho chudail ki behen nhi, hehehe"(People will get scared seeing your face, so someone should be there with you to make people understand that you are a human not the sister of a witch)
"Ho gaya tera hass ke?"
(Are you done with your laughing)"Ji ho gaya"
(Yes)"And I have reached-"
"Good"
"- while Listening to your rubbish"
"Ohh I am hurt again"
"Stop it Dhruv, you got some really serious issues"
"What?"
"You need a brain"
"I think you need the most Diya"Instead of replying she laughed out loud.
"Shut up, ok I am hanging up I have work to do, unlike you sitting all day and chilling around"
"I am the boss, baby"
"You are a baby"
"Of course I am my mother's baby-"
"Tujhe khachre ke dabbe se utha ke laya tha Aunty ne"
(Your mother adopted you from dustbin)"Chal phone rakh chudail"
(Cut the call witch)"Bye chuchunder"
(Bye rat)"Bye, take care"
"Hmm you too"Keeping the phone aside she looked at the time it was almost 6 and she had to complete her work before 9 and here she was smiling like an idiot after visiting her friends house.
But it felt like hers.
The warmth.
The comfort.
Mother's affection.
The delicious food prepared by a mother. It's all felt like own, vanishing all the loneliness and the thoughts clouded in her mind.
She was always and forever be grateful towards Dhruv and his mother.
To give her not only a hope of getting on better terms of her life but they also stood side by side of her for any situation.
She could finally say she has got a family of hers who loves her, adores her, not like the family of her own who could have abandoned her only for money if she hasn't moved out.
Life gets hard some sort of time but you'll get over it and become better version of yourself.
And Diya stood as she improved and got better with each small steps she took for herself.~~~
Hey-a, how was it? I always love how dramatic Dhruv is around Diya.
Bieee!
