The Crow (2015)
Belle was scared; I could sense it from here. Her eyes were darting, searching- was she searching for hope? I would If I was her. A person you had killed popped up in front of the property you had stolen from them. The person was also a vampire, which happens to withstand everything a vampire is said not to withstand.
"Do you think this is a game?" Belle asked, trying to hide her shaky voice, "It doesn't matter who this place belonged to; I built it!"
"Really?" Amira asked, a voice of sarcasm, "Because you built this out of my money and my plans. If anyone should leave this property, it should be you."
I watched. I watched from my tree, seeing Belle get more disappointed as Amra smiled. Belle wouldn't dare to make a move, not with Darwin and Dolores to Amira's rescue. The odds were against her, and she knew it.
"I will not walk away," Belle said, trying to seem like she was confident, "You can leave."
I watched as Belle clenched her fists. Dolores stepped up next to Amira, her eyes were on Belle's fists. Dolores was smiling, a smile full of mischief.
She wasn't scared. No, she was enjoying the moment-enjoying the power she felt over Belle. I could tell she would do something that wasn't to Belle's liking, but she wouldn't care.
"Such fire," Dolores said, with a smooth yet mocking tone, "But the fire won't save you, Belle. If you don't notice, you're outnumbered right now."
Amira smiled, crossing her arms, "You heard her, you should take the opportunity to leave, Leave while we give you a chance."
There was tension in the air, and the tension was heavy. I could feel Belle's heart racing, the speed at which it was beating caused me to get more interested in what was happening. Her heart beat like she'd give up soon.
Belle didn't show fear. "I won't let you take me down," Belle sneered, her voice full of determination, "Even if I have to take you all down... alone."
Brave. Brave yet stupid at the same time. Her body movements were different from the words that spilled out of her mouth.
Amira laughed, the sound sent chills, even through my spine. "Take us down? Alone? Are you stupid?"
"I told you the mortal would be dumb," Dolores said, turning towards Darwin, "Amira made a mistake in taking it lightly."
"Shut it," Amira said coldly, her eyes on Belle, "I'll give you one day. One day find 2 friends to join you in our fight. To ensure you bring that exact amount, I'll bring 10 of my friends to watch and ensure everything is equal."
Dolores scoffed at Amira's words. I'm sure she wanted to rip Belle apart right now, and Belle knew it. But she'd have to wait. Wait till tomorrow.
"See you then," Belle smiled, as Darwin opened the backdoor of the car.
"See you then," Amira repeated, as Dolores got into the passenger seat.
After Amira, Dolores, and Darwin left, a guy walked out of the school building, and next to Belle.
"Leo?" Belle asked, turning towards the guy.
"Yeah?" Leo answered, walking next to Belle.
Leo was tall, he had black curly hair sitting at the top of his head. His green eyes had a brown ring around their pupil that seemed more gold. He was smiling, a gentle smile. He almost seemed innocent. What was he doing with Belle?
"I found a seed to that magic tree," Leo said, looking at the setting sun as Belle did the same, "What would you like us to do with it? Burn it?"
Belle shook her head, "No. If Amira ends up getting this property, she can get that too...Understood?"
Leo nodded his head. "What are you going to do ...about the ballet room."
"Keep it," Belle responded, "Amira cannot take it down with changing her plans... I made sure of it."
Leo nodded his head, not responding this time. Was this a normal thing? To stand next to each other in silence? The silence was slowly killing me.
"Get two of the strongest people you know," Belle finally says, "We will need them for tomorrow's battle."
"Alright," Leo answered, "I will get the job done."
Leo turns away from Belle, Shifting into a blue jay. A bird. If I could shapeshift, I would've been the smartest human. I wouldn't make the mistakes these people are making.
Tomorrow. I'll stop by this school tomorrow, and I'll watch the fight that will happen. I wish the best for Amira. Because the risks that she is taking are high. Until next time.
