Prologue

In the darkness of the night, I am alone, yet I feel a presence, unseen but undeniably there. Trees brush past me, and all around, there is a deep, haunting silence. The wind whispers across my face as I run through the forest. The moonlight barely filters through the dense canopy, casting eerie shadows that dance with every rustle of the leaves. The ground beneath me is uneven and treacherous, tangled roots reaching out like fingers eager to trip me. Every crack of a twig or gust of wind feels like the monster's breath closing in, amplifying my fear and urgency.

ROAR!

The monster's roar shakes the ground beneath my feet, its power vibrating through the earth. I can feel the pull of the portal nearby. I must be close to it. Come on, get up, Avery! You have to keep moving! Fingers digging into the dark soil, I rush toward the portal I have desperately sought for so long.

But just as I reach for it, the monster crashes into me and hurls me aside. With no alternatives left, I extend my hand, and a cool silver force surges through my fingers towards the beast...
