[Hina's POV in "~Masaru Sugiyama~"]
"Hina, Have you checked your classroom for tomorrow?" Hina's mom yelled from downstairs.
It was Hina's first day of Secondary school tomorrow. She was quite upset after she got her second last choice after submitting the form of schools she wanted. She grabbed her phone and checked the school website, finding her Sec 1 class for the year. She was assigned to class 1A. Hina then tossed her phone on the bed and started packing her bag for tomorrow. After a long session of packing her bag, she lies down on her bed excited and nervous starting secondary school.
-Next Day-
"Beep Beep Beep" Hina's digital alarm rings, starting her new year in secondary school. She gets ready for school and makes her way to school. On her way to school she spots her primary school friend, Daiki Yamada.
"Daiki-kunnn," Hina whispers from behind,
Daiki heard Hina's whispers and turned around. He was shocked to see Hina.
"You're in the same school as me??" Daiki gave a glad smile with a slight redness on his face.
"I-I'm in c-class 1A which one are you in?" Hina looks towards Daiki slightly leaning closer to him.
"O-oh I'm in Class 1C," Daiki looks away, slightly blushing.
"Are you blushing?" Hina giggles while poking Daiki on the shoulder.
Daiki looks away and starts to speed up his pace. Clearly feeling awkward and flustered by the interaction. Hina then sees his reaction and starts to giggle. Soon, she enters school and enters her class she sits at her seat, nearest to the classroom backdoor.
After a while, A teacher comes in and introduces herself as Ms Kataro. She will be 1A's homeroom teacher for the next 2 years. Ms Kataro picks up the name list and says the first student's name.
Hina then looks down awkwardly because she was in a new environment and she did not want to provoke or offend anyone.
After a while, Hina could feel like she was being watched. Hina looked around in class, she noticed a boy sitting near the window looking at her. She looks at him for a brief moment before looking away, feeling awkward. She looked at him again and the boy was looking outside his window. She slightly tilts her head, thinking about the glance.
"Alright, Tomorrow is orientation camp so you guys don't need to bring any study materials alright?" Ms Kataro, informed the class as she made her way out.
"Yesss," Hina mumbles as she raises her clenched fist in the air and pulls it down in excitement. The bell then rings, which signifies that it was recess time. Hina looked at the boy sitting at the window again. This time, she saw the boy with a very rigid and awkward walk. Hina giggled softly as she saw the sight in front of her eyes. It was funny seeing a guy with a very rigid movement. He piqued Hina's curiosity.
A few minutes later, Hina walked to the canteen. There were a lot of people there, there were people queuing up in front of different stalls. Hina tried searching for Daiki but she did not see him. She then went over to the drinks stall and bought a Grape Juice Box. She found an empty table and sat down, she took out her phone and opened her text messaging app. She then started texting Daiki about his whereabouts.
Hina typed, "Daiki where are you?"
But there was no reply. Hina looked around for Daiki but she did not see him. After a while, Hina saw Daiki. After Daiki went closer, Hina's smile faded into a neutral expression. Her jaw clenched and she looked away.
Daiki was was talking to a girl he just met. Hina was feeling emotions she had never felt before. She was mad Daiki was talking to a girl.
"I-is that Daiki's girlfriend?"Hina thought to herself clearly in denial of what she was thinking about.
