An Yiyi looked at her shopping cart with a contemplative look, counting the supplies; high quality milk cans, 20 in quantity. 10 baby wipes, 10 onesies and jackets and 5 sports wear for toddlers. She also picked out a dozen of socks, 10 powder, sunscreen and lotions.

An Yiyi brightened up and grabbed 5 large baby nets and 15 insect spray. She also grabbed shower gels and sensitive shampoos all in 10 quantity.

The amount was negligble in the grand scheme of things— however, An Yiyi needed to ease the itch of purchasing materials to secure the immediate needs of her child.

An Wei was only three years old this year. He was kind and caring, although a quiet little guy. An Wei had always been a smart, considerate little kid and her heart ached remembering how he endured six years of the apocalypse with her.

Her sweet child, forced to endure the harsh weather of cold and hot. Just remembering his thin little face and arms, and his stern expression during such difficult times, yet stubbornly assuring her, "Don't worry! When i grow up, i will protect you and our life will be better. You won't be tired anymore."

Her son had always been obedient and mindful— never making a fuss and behaving properly like a young adult. He had never cried out like the other children, although it may have been difficult for him to endure his hunger— during that time, having a warm meal let alone a bun was a luxury and she could only grit her teeth and endure hunger for days just to give him a bite of food. However, he would refuse it stubbornly and only eat if she had a bite herself.

An Wei is her little warrior and protector. Her company during the most difficult moments of the Apocalypse. Who knew, just when they were tasting a bit of safety and warmth, they would be plotted against by her teammates.

At the thought of how they ended in her last life, An Yiyi's eyes dimmed. Those scoundrels and scumbags had obvious designs for their meager belongings and supply!

They were only mother and son in their eyes, and in such a time where human's hearts have already reached a point of little morality, they were easy targets.

Pushed infront of zombies, and torn to pieces. An Yiyi could still remember it, trying to desperately reach for her son who's cries and tears hurt her more than anything.

Who would have thought she would be reborn a month before the apocalypse!

It was mercy to have woken up at such a time. Although a little short, An Yiyi who had lived through the apocalypse without anything was incredibly thankful for it. Especially as she was reborn with her space.

An Yiyi woke up her space abilities during the apocalypse, like many people. Although it was only 500 square meters and two rooms, the food in it will never spoil, which was a wonderful thing! It's too bad she never used it before.

Now, she will make full use of it. As much as she could, she wanted to make sure their living conditions are much better than before.

The total of the items she bought was 15,000 yuan, although it was alot she barely blinked. These were items for her son. Carrying the shopping bags in her car, she swept it into space once she drove into a place without surveillance.

An Yiyi was only a single mom who worked honestly all her life. Her salary was only 12, 000 yuan per month, and she made sure to keep the 5000 ever since working.

The house she lived in was an apartment inherited from her parents, a three bedroom and two bathroom flat. It had a living room, and a kitchen aswell as a little pantry. It saved her a lot of money, and it was near An Wei's school.

Despite many relatives urging her to sell her property, she refused for this reason. It was a nice district, quite peaceful seeing as it was in an old neighbourhood. Most of the people who lived there were either scholars or old people.

This place was safe for about a year, where extreme heat occured. Everywhere was sweltering hot and electricty only lasted for two months. During those times, the signs of extreme weather was showing already; famine, pests and insects everywhere, drying dams etc.

Some people had the foresight to hoard supplies, while some scolded those who did for believing in baseless accounts from the internet.

An Yiyi was relieved from her work due to a problem within the building, while An Wei was dismissed from school because of the heat. Following such trend, both mother and son went to the super market and stocked up on water and some supplies that lasted them for a while.

An Yiyi only realized how severe the situation was when even communications were cut off. Modern technology has come to a point where even holograms and electric vehicles were possible, and yet one of the most early forms of communication were also destroyed?

Strict measures and regulations were then, imposed on necessary supplies. All supermarkets were under the control of government, and everyone's purchase was limited into a minimum of 2 days supply. And then, that's when things got ugly...

An Yiyi gritted her teeth and forced herself to forget such things. For now, she had to focus on her clear goals.

The disposable money in her hands were limited. Although 5 million from her parents were sufficient in some aspects, and the six hundered thousand she has from saving and minor investments, she wanted to secure all possible areas and that included food, water, clothing, weapons, gas... the question was how far could she stretch it?

Luckily, before making a stop at this mall An Yiyi has purchased some items already; 100 packs of insant noodles, 100 packs of compressed biscuits, 100 canned meat, 100 packs of 1L water, 50 10 kg of rice, 50 kg of salt and sugar, 40 bottles of soy sauce and vinegar, 50 bottles of spicy chilli garlic oil, 100 cans of poweder milk, 100 bottles of fresh milk.

An Yiyi also bought some snacks, like 100 potato chips, barbecue, onion, plain. Unsalted nuts, chocolate bars, wafers, choco bread, custard bread, energy bars, yogurt, dried fruit like strawberry, grape, tangerine, melon, berry etc. All in 100 quantities.

Ofcourse, An Yiyi drove around more than a dozen shops all over. Especially those places where there's few cameras. She ran several shops to buy clothes too, getting herself and An Wei 15 sets each. An Wei had more variety and size because he will grow up.

An Yiyi was still energetic, practically bouncing on her feet as she drove to where An Wei's school was. It was already time to pick him up, and she couldn't wait to see her baby again!

Her son looked adorable. Like a distinguisedz little gentleman, in his uniform. An Wei, her son looked as young and adorable as he used to be before he suffered hardship. Fat and white, like a little bun.

"Xiao Bao!" An Yiyi called his attention, and his gaze found her, his expression neutral though affectionate. Toddlers are naturally affectionate and loving to their mother, especially little bun!

"Mom," he called out obediently, and An Yiyi bent down to squeeze him in a hug, fighting off her emotions.

In this life, we will never suffer like before! She promised in her heart.
