An Wei is a smart kid. He noticed the subtle changes in his mother's expression, and how she seemingly wiped her eyes from tears while ushering him into the car.

Did his mother get bullied somewhere? Did she get into a fight and lose? Her hands had always been too feeble and soft for his liking. It was unlucky that his mother was a delicate woman, and he was only a little guy!

An Wei often found himself wanting to become big and older, so he could better protect his mother. He understood the different situation they had, as compared to other families and kids; but it never burdened him, as opposed to expectation. Anyway, he had always been a weird kid. Too smart and calculative for his age.

The gentle reminders of his mother, that he was loved by both his mother and father was enough for him.

However, there were indeed times where he feels lacking. Such as this day. His mother was obviously bothered by something she can't tell him, and sure, he can probably act a little bit cuter and more affectionate to make her happy.. but how else could he help?

This. This were the times where he hoped he also had a father by his side. To protect his mother so that she doesn't get stupidly bullied, to accompany them... An Wei hoped for these things.

But how to find his father?

"What are you thinking so seriously about?" An Yiyi asked, glancing at her son's furrowed eyebrows teasingly. He looked so cute, she couldn't resist pinching his cheeks.

"Was school difficult today? Did you have a hard time?" She asked him softly. An Wei's response was an arrogant hmph, which made her laugh.

An Wei had always been praised by his teachers, and have respresented his alma matter a few times, even at his young age. He was most of all, a math genius, and he liked reading and studying the most. She often had to force him to play outside, even for five minutes, and he would do it begrudgingly.

"Xiao bao, mommy will arrange you to take some new extracurriculars." An Yiyi said. She wanted to make sure his stamina was much better so that he doesn't sruggle later, so she planned on letting him take self-defense lessons. Not only would it strengthen him but also teach him how to defend himself.

"Okay." An Wei nods, "You're not even going to ask, what kind?" An Yiyi asked amusedly. He shook his head with a shrug, "Eh."

An Yiyi scrunched her nose, "This kid. Anyways, it will be self-defense."

An Wei perked up, "Okay. I listen to you." He had always wanted to have the means to protect his mother and himself, this way he could.

"Good, i'll cook you a delicious meal tonight." She ruffled his hair.

After a hearty meal, she helped him wash up and tucked him into his bed. An Yiyi then, went into bed with her phone fully charged ready to shop online.

But first, she has to rent a warehouse to recieve the items temporarily. There were many of such kind around the area, as the city she lived in were bustling with small merchandises or a hub of big companies.

After successfully connecting with a person in charge of the warehouse, An Yiyi rented a relatively large warehouse to store her supplies.

Online shopping first!

An Yiyi first bought things, such as food dehydrator, food processor, vacuum sealer, steamer, and tupperwares both in boxes and water container to store food and water.

Her space is limited, so she doesn't plan on keeping everything inside it, and keeping them in stock at her house.

Then, An Yiyi bought grain; 1000 kg of white rice, brown rice, and purple rice. She also bought flour, yeast, baking powder, cornstarch, and wheat flour for 500 kg in quantities.

As for salt and sugar, which is important, An Yiyi directly bought 1000 kilos. She also bought all kinds of sauces in 300 quantities, and canned meat such as pork, chicken, beef in 700 quantities each; these could be valuable currency for trade before. Also bought 300 packs of instant noodles in 5 flavors.

Most importantly, to ensure Xiao Wei's growth and nutrition, she bought 700 cans of high quality canned milk, and vitamins. She also bought 60 packs of bottles.

Continuing this trend, An Yiyi bought 500 packs of compressed biscuits, in chocolate and vanilla flavor. Then she bought milk bread, custard bread, chocolate bread in 500 pieces too. She also bought 500 digestive cookies and 500 cheese and ham bread.

Then An Yiyi bought some snacks; such as chips, nuts, juices, yogurt, coffee, bread sticks,chocolate, candy, mint, soda all in 200 quantity.

Then she bought things like 500 wet wipes, 200 tissues, 500 menstrual pads, 50 sacks of 30 kilo cat litter. Also, since hygiene is important even during such times, she directly bought body wash, dry shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, mouthwash all in male and female version 60 bottles each.

Then, she also bought 20 10L water storage for drinking, 10 water filters, 100 water purification, 20 tumblrs, 50 rechargable fans and 200 batteries, 50 powerbank and 20 generators. As for fuel, she could not buy it online, and could only drive around the city later.

An Yiyi checked out her first batch of supplies, and watch excitedly as 400, 000 disappeared from her bank account. It satisfied her greatly to spend this money. This would all be paper later on, it was great to use it for supplies now.
