As the wedding day approached, the atmosphere in the Raizada mansion grew more chaotic. Khushi was at the center of it all, her energy infectious. Yet, amidst the hustle, she found herself stealing glances at Arnav whenever she could. The more she got to know him, the more she felt a connection that she couldn't quite understand.
One evening, while arranging seating cards for the guests, Khushi and Arnav found themselves alone in the spacious dining hall. The sun was setting, casting a golden hue across the room."You know," Khushi said, placing a card down, "weddings are a beautiful chaos. It's not just about the couple; it's about everyone coming together."
Arnav leaned against the table, watching her with interest. "Is that what you believe?"Khushi nodded enthusiastically. "Absolutely! It's a time for families to celebrate love and unity. And I love seeing everyone happy!"Arnav considered her words, intrigued by her perspective. "You seem really passionate about this."
"I am! When my parents got married, it was the happiest day of their lives, and they wanted us to feel that joy every time we celebrate a wedding in our family," Khushi explained, her eyes shining with memories. "I want to create those memories for Jiji too.""And you're doing a great job," he said, genuinely impressed. "I've seen how hard you work."Khushi beamed at the compliment, her cheeks flushing slightly. "Thank you! I just want everything to be perfect for her."
Their eyes locked for a moment, and Khushi felt her heart race. She quickly looked away, pretending to arrange the cards again."So, what about you?" Khushi asked, trying to change the subject. "Are you excited about the wedding?"
Arnav shrugged, a hint of a smirk on his lips. "I'm mostly just here to support Akash. Weddings aren't really my thing.""Why not? You might find it fun," she challenged playfully. "You could even dance!"Arnav laughed softly.
"Trust me, no one wants to see me dance."
"Oh, come on! How do you know if you don't try? I bet you'd be good at it," she teased, her eyes sparkling with mischief."I'm better off behind the scenes," he replied, crossing his arms with a mock serious expression.Khushi shook her head, smiling.
"You're just scared!"
"Scared? Me?" Arnav raised an eyebrow, feigning indignation. "I am not scared of anything.""Then let's make a deal," she suggested, her eyes glinting with determination. "If you dance at the wedding, I'll sing!"
Arnav chuckled, clearly amused. "You really think I'd agree to that?""Well, if you do, I'll make sure the whole family knows how good you are!" Khushi said, playfully. He paused, contemplating her proposal. "Fine, but only if you promise not to tell anyone if I embarrass myself.""Deal!" Khushi exclaimed, clapping her hands together.
