" Open the door , Bhabhi sa "
A feminine, raspy, and strained voice erupted in the silent hallway of the second floor of the Ranawat's palace as she knocked hard on the door, frustration evident in every motion. With a sigh of exasperation, she banged on the door again, standing in her semi-bridal lehenga. The deep red fabric contrasted with her glowing skin, the intricate gold embroidery catching the faint light of the corridor. Her black, curly hair, styled in a fish-cut look, cascaded down her back, just above her waist. It was parted in the middle, adorned with vermillion, symbolising her recent marriage. A delicate nuptial chain hung around her neck, marking her as a newlywed-just hours ago, in fact
"Bhabhi sa!" she shouted again, banging on the door with even more force. Her honey-brown eyes glared at the empty hallway, reflecting a mixture of irritation and exhaustion
" Bhabhi-
" No need to shout , Niharika " A voice came before Sanvi appeared in front of her after opening the door . Her ice-blue eyes narrowed towards the girl who just rolled her eyes and was about to walked past her when Sanvi held her wrist and made her stand before her as they both entered the room
"You've come back after a year. Was it really necessary to cause so much chaos and marry him forcibly?" Sanvi asked in a hard tone , her voice full of concern. The girl in front of her, however, looked completely indifferent, as if the weight of the situation didn't affect her at all
"I've knocked down the four guards at the entrance since they weren't allowing me inside the palace. Kindly give them some money for treatment," Niharika said in an unconcerned tone, completely ignoring the previous question
Sanvi stood stunned, speechless at her casual admission. Of course, it was no surprise to expect such boldness from Niharika, especially after the dramatic marriage stunt she had pulled just minutes earlier in the same palace. The audacity left no room for doubt-Niharika had always been unpredictable, and today was no different
"But there were more than 15 guards at the entrance," Sanvi whispered, still too stunned to fully comprehend what Niharika had done. "The rest of them ran away after seeing what happened to the first four. Now, if you'll kindly excuse me," Niharika replied with a slight scoff, completely unfazed.
Sanvi shook her head, half in disbelief, half in amusement. Of course, it was expected-the guards had no chance when faced with someone like Niharika Singh Ranawat. Her reputation preceded her, and this boldness was just another chapter in her unpredictable saga
"Dadi sa ko heart attack aaya tha," Sanvi informed softly, her voice laced with concern. Niharika turned her gaze towards her, but with an utterly unbothered expression, she replied,"Unko pehli baar heart attack meri hi wajah se aaya tha, aur beech beech mein aapke kaarname unhe hospital bhejte rahte hain. There is nothing new in it." Sanvi was left speechless once again. Niharika's indifference was as sharp as ever, a mix of dark humor and blunt truth that only she could deliver so effortlessly
[ Translation : "Dadi Sa had a heart attack," Sanvi informed softly, her voice filled with concern. Niharika turned her gaze towards her, but with a completely unbothered expression, she replied, "The first time Dadi Sa had a heart attack, it was because of me. And every now and then, your antics keep sending her to the hospital. There's nothing new about it." ]
