It had been 2 weeks since Taehyung had been discharged from the hospital, but he couldn’t shake the guilt weighing heavily on his chest. He didn't want to admit it, not even to himself. He felt reckless and irresponsible, but admitting that meant acknowledging how much he had hurt everyones emotion, and he wasn’t ready for that.
Back in the hospital, when Jungkook had tried to talk to him, the conversation had quickly devolved into an argument. Taehyung had insisted he knew what to do and didn’t want Jungkook involved. Jungkook’s anger had flared at Taehyung’s inconsideration for their child, and it had only fueled Taehyung’s frustration. They had stopped talking after that, leaving a rift that felt insurmountable.
The tension in the house was still alive as they prepared for whatever the Park family might throw at them. Now, Taehyung had moved to the Kim mansion, where Jackson, Jimin, and Jinyoung had also relocated due to the recent events. Suga had offered to move in as well, but Jackson declined, asserting they knew how to protect Taehyung and the baby. Taehyung couldn’t help but suspect that something had occurred while he was unconscious, something that shifted the dynamics between them. Despite their families’ rivalry, Taehyung found it amusing that Jackson and Suga shared a good bond, likely because they were both the eldest. However, now Jackson always seemed to wear a scowl when it came to Suga.
Now about Jungkook—he was a regular visitor at the mansion, practically a fixture there, and it was maddening how he seemed to be around almost 24/7. Taehyung rolled his eyes at the thought—what an idiot!
They didn’t talk much anymore, only exchanged eye rolls and cold stares. Jungkook tried to close the distance between them, always pretending it was all about the baby and not Taehyung. He acted like his constant presence was just about being a good father, but everyone knew the truth—everyone knew he was really there for Taehyung. Despite this, Taehyung would grit his teeth every time Jungkook tried to get close, refusing to give in to the feelings he knew were still there. But Jungkook, stubborn as ever, kept pushing, like he could somehow force his way back into Taehyung’s heart.
Being pregnant felt strange. Everyone had always treated him like the youngest brat, but now he was the priority. He didn’t have to fight with his brothers for anything anymore; they were all too concerned about him and the baby. But despite that, Taehyung decided to ignore the looming threat of the Park family for the sake of his peace of mind. He needed to focus on himself, at least for now.

Taehyung was playing game at his room, when the door creaked open, and he didn’t even need to look up to know who it was.
“Taehyung,” Jungkook’s voice was firm, but it held an edge of frustration.
Taehyung chose to ignore him, continuing the game, but Jungkook didn’t take the hint.
“Are you going to pretend I’m not here?” Jungkook pressed, stepping further into the room.
