We were perfect, Charlie and me. But that was before I realized all he wanted was my body. I had told myself that I had to remain my dignity, so I dumped him. I guess you could say I regretted it. But I had to do it before he did.
"Bitch, you knew this was coming. You can't run away!" His words kept haunting me for so long.
Until you came, and you washed away all the monsters, the nightmares. It was as if I couldn't see them anymore. You were the sunshine, and I guess you blinded me. But it could only last for so long before twilight came again, bringing back the night.
