My parents weren't a problem. They let me.
So I write my application letter, I pack, I get ready to leave.
Then I remember him. Suddenly all the veils lift, the nightmares loosen, I breathe.
I can't go back now. But I see him, I see who he really was. An angel who tried to lift me out of my cage. And I think that angel deserves an explanation. So I call.
"I'm leaving," I say. "I..." I choke up.
"Wait, what?" He stutters.
"I'm leaving and I'll never see you again!" I just get it out, I know I can't tell him if I am crying.
"Wait, how? You're... transferring?" He says, confused.
"Yeah... To Norton High,"
"Well, good for you. I, I hope you'll be happy," He doesn't ask me to stay. And I fall back into the depths of my hell.
