V was leaning on the entrance of the school, but something was worrying her. Everything was finally ready, good for her and N's life together. There was nothing more that anyone could do to stop the two. After school ended, they would fully engage with the other and live a happy life, but she needs him to do that. So where was he?
She was waiting for N to arrive at school, but he didn't. She continued waiting, he was an almost perfect student, rarely missing any class. So he had to arrive at any point, but he didn't. The first bell rang, starting the first class of the day, but N still wasn't there. V kept waiting for him. She refused to enter class without him, but she couldn't roam the school during teaching hour for long. She waited for 10 minutes, before having to go to math class without the sun shining, creating a heavy and depressing atmosphere.
Math and physic's class passed, being as boring as they can be. The bell for the first recess of the day rang and everyone made their way out of the room. V went to the cafeteria and picked some food, quickly eating it. She didn't hear any word the teacher said, only thinking about N. He didn't arrive at the second period either, so it was most probable that he wouldn't come to school this day. What happened to him? Was all V could think, imagining the worst possible outcomes. The thoughts made her feel bad. She didn't want to be in school anymore. If he wasn't here, than there was no point in wasting time here. She had to focus everything she had on making sure their future is the only path they can follow. Staying here without him had no matter in that.
V got up from the table she was and walked off the cafeteria, going to the principles office. There, she reported that she was feeling bad and wanted to go home. The principle asked what she was feeling, but she only responded with some weak symptoms that wouldn't lead to anything. The headmaster allowed her to go home, wishing her to get better soon. She got out of the school and went to her home without even looking at anyone.
When V arrived home, she picked her phone and sent N multiple messages, asking if he was okay, if something happened, that if it had she could help him. They all were sent and quickly arrived at the boy's phone, but weren't read. V layed in her bed, going to sleep, only waking up hours after. She looked at her phone, but N still hadn't read her message. She wondered if something had happened with him, but decided to not jump into conclusion. This was probably only a one day thing.
The next day, V waited in the entrance, but that old fashioned white car never appeared. Once again, the first bell rang, but N didn't arrive. She waited for 10 more minutes, but nothing. Philosophy and geography classes passed, but he still didn't arrive. V's worry only grew, making her feel bad again. For the second time, she went to the principle's office and said the same thing. This time the principle was a bit more skeptical, but V affirmed she'd bring some medicine tomorrow to handle the symptoms. The principle reluctantly allowed her to go home, but with a warning about lying of being sick. V didn't hear him, she didn't hear anything properly. She knew something was happening with N, she just didn't know what.
Once arriving in her house, she sent him more messages. Asking what happened to him, that she can help with anything and that she'll do anything to be by his side. All of them arrived at his phone, but he didn't read any of them, not from yesterday, not from today. This only made V's paranoia more frantic. Was he ignoring her? Why? Did she do something? She only helped him up until now, what could she have done to make him ignore her? Was someone forcing him to ignore him? His mother?
V wanted answers and she would get it tomorrow, by any means necessary.
The next day arrives and V waits for her star once again, but alike the last two days, he doesn't arrive. The sun doesn't shine, casting the earth in a dim grey tone and an empty atmosphere. The girl did as she did yesterday and before yesterday, waiting for 10 minutes, but he didn't arrive. She watched the history and biology class, but heard none of them. When the bell rag for recess, she quickly made her way to the back of the school. She had to know what was happening to N, but if he wasn't going to appear in school or answer his phone, she'd have to check him in person. V didn't even try to talk with the principle, since he probably wouldn't believe her anymore, but this didn't matter. She had one way out still.
