Just found the updating rhythm for this project. It will be Thursdays

Anue mounted her personal horse. A large intimidating beast standing at 20 hands, he came from a long line of particularly breed stallions meant for their size and build.

She leaned down and stroked the left side of his cheek. "Good boy," his hazelnut coat shined as his head raised.

"Are you seriously going to take your battle horse out for causal stroll?" Gustav trotted up beside her in a smaller riding horse who was just at 15.

"Dyar is not just a battle horse. I raised him, trained him, and cared for him. He is my warmth on cold nights in the fields and companion when I am alone. He is more than just a horse."

Gustav rolled his eyes, "Than let us go... where is his bite and bridal?"

"if it isn't for important reasons I don't use one."

Gustav grumbled "That is ridiculous. Put one on your damn horse."

"Where Is that charming gentleman from the party? I haven't seen him since the betrothal announcement."

Gustav stared daggers into her. "Perhaps you should act more like a lady, maybe that would change me back to a gentlemen"

Anue rolled her eyes, she clicked her tongue and Dyar started moving, they walked out of the stable yard and headed down a trail. Anue, kept just slightly behind the Duke.

They moved swiftly through the small bit of forests that surrounded the stables, until they broke through the trees into wide open rolling fields. To their left the land stretched out far into the mountains, to their right, the field stretched until it reached a large lake, surrounded by lifted hills.

The wind was cool as it whisked against their skin. They took their horses from a slow strolling walk to a comfortable travelling trot. The sun beamed down in a light lifting way.

"Why did you want to bring me out here anyways?" Anue turned her head to look at the Duke.

Fenwick didn't answer at first. Anue stared at him, even when he refused to look at her. "I thought it would be nice to have some time together before the wedding."

Anue huffed, "I find that hard to believe."

Gustav looked up to her. "You find it hard to believe, that's fine, but you are being the hard one in this mix."

"Perhaps I am, but it is well deserved" Anue yawned, then reached up and petted her horse, between the ears.

They made it across the fields of rolling hills to another small forest area. Anue's attention got grabbed, as this is where that bright light landed the other night. Her head went on the swivel as she started to look for signs of where to find it. She looked over at Duke Fenwick, she had to get rid of him some how, but she couldn't figure it out.

"You going to kill me now, that we are alone?" Anue snorted.

"That is a brilliant idea. Perhaps I'll keep that in mind for next time, so I can plan time to dig a hole." Gustav stared back at her.

Anue turned her head towards the next tree line. Staring off until something sparkly caught her eye. She tapped Dyar on his right shoulder and pointed over he turned and headed off over to the area she pointed.

"See a horse with no bridle is a horse who can't be controlled,"

Anue ignored the Duke. As she clicked her tongue and continued faster towards the area.
