It was a cold October. Luke and I rarely talked, it was sort of awkard I guess. I was forced to see him often because I was always alone with my brother which ended up with the boys over or I would get stuck with their band practices. There was loads of tension between us for some unknown reason, even Michael has pointed it out several times. Lately I've been hanging with Michael, he's seriously funny and nerdy.  Ashton seems completely oblivious to anything between Luke and I which is a great thing.

Luckily I made a friend a few months ago. Her name is Lila Sommerhalds, her full name is Lila Sage Sommerhlalds. Her parents were complete hippies back in the day so when they found out they were having a kids they wanted her name so be tied with a herb or a flower of some sort. Luckily she was named Lila instead of Lilac. When she first told me thins story I laughed uncontrollably. It really was a great story. We're best friends now though. Tonight Jaime is throwing yet another party, but this is a but different it's a Halloween party. Everyone will be dressed.

I intended to go as something simple. Apparently simple just isn't enough for Lila. She chose the entire thing. I was terrified to see what she was making me wear. I had every reason to be too. As she came to my front door holding my outfit,I saw that it was a sexy nurse (Kill me now). I don't understand how she thinks I can last an entire night in high heels but she has some serious hope. My hair was curled, my makeup done and my costume was already on. Lila was a hot police officer, her leather jeans were skin tight, she wore heels and her shirt made her look fabulous.

"I can't pull this off Lila, I look like a slut."

"Nia that is the point. You need to get some, you've been a little tense."

"LILA I DO NOT."

"Sure Nia sure."

I take one last look in the mirror and walk out of the door locking it behind me. Luckily Lila has a car otherwise we'd be walking all the way to Jaime's party. The drive was short and loads of car were already parked in the driveway to his house. People stood outside drinking and doing other things of course. As I walked through the door I noticed Lila has already left my side. So I headed straight for the drinks. This is exactly what I needed, I needed to relax and have fun. I poured my self a shot and downed it creating a burning sensation through my throat.

"A girl like you shouldn't be starting off so heavily". A guy spoke closely to me with lustful eyes. He was hot, very muscluar. His name was Josh Kellig and he is the Quarterback of our football team.

"How do you think I should be start off then?"

"With a guy like me". Honestly what he said made no sense at all but he was trying to flirt and that was all that mattered. I took his hand and he led me up the stairs to the bathroom. I had a great memory of the last time I was in that bathroom at a party but this was very different. Wecontnued up the stairs into the bathroom. Where Josh closed the door behind himself not even bothering to lock it.

He roughy sat me on the counter and began to rub his hands up and down my thighs sending a shiver throughout my body. Then his lips connected with mine. For once I thanked Lila for making me wear this. I wasn't completely invisible. His hands trailed up and down the sides of my body then pushing us closer together. It was great but I could help but think about Luke's lips on mine. I instantly pushed those images away and pushed deeper into the kiss. That is until Ashely walked in on us with a seductive grin focused on Josh. She left the room with Josh following behind her. Josh said a meaningless sorry before leaving me alone feeling like shit.

I rubbed my temples and rejoined the group downstairs. I know that Jaime's pantry was full of liquor so that was exactly where I was headed. I pulled out a bottle of Vodka and Tequila. Suddenly I saw Jaime. He looked like he was having a great time which was the usual for him. He was always a great guy. There he was standing with a group of people smiling.
