Iraana and Armaan were coming back from school.
"Iraana, tumhari aankhein laal kyun ho rahi hain?" Armaan said after looking at her red eyes.
("Iraana, why are your eyes turning red?")"Pata nahi," Iraana replied, bored.
("I don't know.")"Mujhe lagta hai tum soi nahi thi poori raat," Armaan said, concerned, looking at her red eyes.
("I think you didn't sleep the whole night.")"Achha, tumhe kaise pata?" Iraana asked curiously.
("Oh, how do you know?")"Tumhari laal aankhein dekh kar bol raha hoon bas," Armaan replied.
("I'm just saying based on your red eyes.")"Haan, main nahi soi. Neend nahi aa rahi thi," Iraana said.
("Yeah, I didn't sleep. I couldn't fall asleep.")"Tumhe pyaar toh nahi ho gaya?" Armaan said to tease her. But she didn't respond like that; she felt bad when Armaan said this.
("You didn't fall in love, did you?")"Armaan, pyaar kya hota hai?" Iraana asked.
("Armaan, what is love?")"Tumhe nahi pata? Jab neend nahi aati toh pyaar ho jaata hai," Armaan replied.
("You don't know? When you can't sleep, that's when you fall in love.")"Tumhe kaise pata yeh baatein?" Iraana asked.
("How do you know these things?")"Tumne movie mein nahi dekha? Ladka ladki ko pyaar ho jaata hai," Armaan said.
("Didn't you see it in movies? The guy and girl fall in love.")"Achha," Iraana said, only this. She really didn't know what love is. But now she was thinking about Iyaan.
Is she in love with Iyaan? She was thinking.

Iyaan was working on his laptop.
"Iyaan beta, suno toh yeh gifts tum Alina ke ghar de kar aajao," his mother came carrying two bags of bridal gifts.
("Iyaan, dear, listen, go drop off these gifts at Alina's house.")Alina was the girl his mother had chosen for him.
"Ammi, aap khud chale jaayein na," Iyaan said carelessly.
("Mom, you go yourself.")"Nahi, maine kaha na tum jaoge, tum jaoge toh woh khush ho jayegi," his mother scolded him.
("No, I told you to go. She'll be happy if you do.")"Achha theek hai, ruk jaayein thodi der," Iyaan said, closing his laptop. He came to the mirror to see his reflection, running his hand through his hair admiring himself. A smile adorned his face thinking about Alina.
♡🕊️♡Iraana and Armaan were sitting on a tree outside their house after school. Armaan had finished studying, so Iyaan allowed him to go outside.
"Armaan, tum mujhe us movie ke baare mein bata rahe the na, ab batao," Iraana said.
("Armaan, you were telling me about that movie, now tell me.")"Haan, par tumhe batane ka kya faida? Tum toh ladki hi nahi ho," Armaan enjoyed teasing her always.
("Yeah, but what's the point in telling you? You're not even like a girl.")
"Kya matlab?" Iraana raised her eyebrows.
("What do you mean?")"Mera matlab hai ki ladkiyaan Eid aur shaadi ke mauke pe makeup aur naye dresses banwaane mein lagi rehti hain, aur tumhe chooriyan pehne ka aur makeup karne ka shauk hi nahi hai," Armaan said.
("I mean girls are always busy making new dresses and makeup for Eid or weddings, and you don't even care about wearing bangles or doing makeup.")
"Haan, nahi shauk hai mujhe bas," Iraana said, folding her hands.
("Yeah, I just don't care about it.")
"Tum toh hamesha..." Armaan stopped and smirked.
("You're always...")
"Kya hamesha, hmmm?" Iraana tutted, staring at him.
("What always, hmm?")
"Hamesha nighty pehen kar ghoomti rehti ho, kahin se bhi ladki nahi lagti," Armaan said and jumped from the tree, running away.
("You're always wandering around in a nightgown, don't look like a girl at all.")
"Armaan ke bache, main tumhe chhodungi nahi!" Iraana screeched.
("Armaan, you brat, I won't spare you!")
She also came down from the tree, picked up a football, and ran after him. She threw the football at Armaan, but he escaped the shot.
Iyaan was coming outside the house as his mother had told him. By mistake, the ball hit Iyaan's head, and all the bags fell from his hands.
"Oh, shit," Iraana said.
Iraana tried to run away before Iyaan saw her, but he saw her and got mad.
"Iraana, ruko! Kahaan bhaag rahi ho?" Iyaan screeched.
("Iraana, stop! Where are you running off to?")
"Manhoos ladki! Hamesha mera kaam bigaadti ho. Sab ke jeene ko haram karke rakhti ho! Hamesha pedo par latakti rehti ho ladki ho kar bhi. Mere bhai ko bhi bigaada hua hai tumne. Kuch aata hai nahi tumhe, sirf doosron ke naak mein dum karne ke alawa," Iyaan said everything he had wanted to say to her for years.
("Cursed girl! You always ruin my work. You make life miserable for everyone! Always hanging from trees even though you're a girl. You've spoiled my brother too. You don't know anything except how to annoy people.")
"Apni shakal mat dikhao, dafa ho yahaan se," Iyaan said with so much hatred in his tone, giving her a horrible, killing look as he walked towards the main gate, stomping his feet.
("Don't show me your face, get lost from here.")♡🕊️♡
The sun was about to set. Armaan rushed to the terrace to watch the moon. He thought Iraana would already be sitting there, but today she wasn't. So he came down to search for her.
It was the last day of Ramzaan, Chand Raat (moon night). Iraana was crying in her room. She was badly hurt by Iyaan's words.
"Kya main itni buri hoon?" she thought, with tears in her eyes.
("Am I really that bad?")
Armaan came into her room and settled beside her.
"Iraana, tum nahi aa rahi Chand dekhne terrace pe?" He asked, taking half of her blanket, sitting beside her, concerned.
("Iraana, aren't you coming to see the moon on the terrace?")
Iraana never missed watching the moon on Eid since childhood. But today she didn't go to see it.
"Nahi, main nahi jaa rahi," Iraana said, wiping her tears.
("No, I'm not going.")"Iraana, tum ro rahi ho?" Armaan asked, concerned.
("Iraana, are you crying?")"Armaan, saari duniya mujhse nafrat kare par tum mujhse nafrat mat karna," Iraana said.
("Armaan, the whole world can hate me, but don't you hate me.")
"Koi tumse nafrat nahi karta, pagal mat bano. Hum sab tumse pyaar karte hain, main tumse pyaar karta hoon," Armaan said, holding her hands. She bummed out everything that happened and why she was sad.
("No one hates you, don't be silly. We all love you, I love you.")"Armaan, tum wada karo main jaisi hoon tum mujhe taana nahi doge. Main aisi hi hoon, main hamesha aisi hi rahungi," she started crying again.
("Armaan, promise me you won't taunt me for how I am. This is how I am, and I will always be like this.")
"Haan, tum mujhe aisi hi achi lagti ho. Tum aisi hi rehna warna main apna dost kho doonga," Armaan said.
("Yeah, I like you just the way you are. Stay like this, or I'll lose my friend.")
