Laura arrives at the restaurant in her Uber.
The restaurant has been decorated with burnt orange walls and strings of lights and vines hanging down .
Rydel notices Laura enter the restaurant and waves her over to the table.
"Hey how are you?" Rydel asks embracing her tightly. It's been years since the girls have hung out just the two of them.
"Honestly been better, how you doing?" the brunette questions sitting down at the table looking up at her blond best friend.
"I'm good, busy with the kids since Capron is working in Texas back and forth" a waiter interrupts Rydel.
"Hi ladies you ready to order?" he asks.
"Hi please could I get the carbonara and could we get a bottle of the house red wine please?" Laura asks the waiter with a smile.
"I'll have the Magahrita pizza please" Rydel orders and passes hers and Laura's menu towards him.
"How is it with Capron flying back and forth"? Laura asks interested.
"Tough at times but we make it work, he's on his last project of the year and then he can work from here the rest of the time which is nice as I know he misses the kids and we miss him lots, but how are you? It's been ages since it's been us two so we can have a proper catch up, think we need it" Rydel says furrowing her eyebrows at her brother's crush.
"I've been busy working but i think next year I'm going to have a career break, I need it with the album release and netflix shows it's been exhausting. Although I want to do a tour with the album so I don't know." Laura says with a sigh.
"However a break might help me figure out the hell I do about your brother and my boyfriend but then I like having work as a distraction. How is Ross? has he spoken to you" Laura asks concerned. She knows he can be quiet when stuff happens between them and then it's hard to get through to him.
"Would you girls like to try the wine?" the waiter asks holding the bottle in front of him.
"umm no thank you I'm sure it's lovely" Laura smiles as the waiter pours it into their glasses.
"It's Ross and his feelings of course not, more importantly you're involved and it's his feelings for you so no he definitly hasn't. He may have spoken to Rocky and Ry but who knows. Maybe you should text one of them and see" Rydel suggests.
"He's so infuriating" Laura says exasperated.
"Trust me I know, I lived with him for over 20 years" Rydel chuckles Laura shakes her head at her best friend but laughs along too.
"The Margherita pizza?" A waitress asks before placing in front of Rydel.
"The Carbonara?" She's asks placing the pasta in front of Laura.
"Hmm this looks delicious, Pasta and wine my two favourite things and lunch with one of my favourite people. I missed you so much!" Laura exclaims as she takes a picture of Rydel and then her food and wine.
"Let me take a picture of you, you look stunning!" Rydel gushes taking a picture of her brunette best friend as Laura poses holding the glass of wine in her hand. Laura is wearing a red cowl neck backless slip dress with a pair of gold heels and gold hoop earrings. Along with her red purse. Her hair is down with a slight wave through.
Rydel is her black cowl neck revolve midi dress with a slit down the side along with her snake print heels. Her hair is also wavy and not girls have a black leather jacket.
