"An island!" Anula jumps up.
"Anula!" Mother growls.
She draws back and sits down.
"It doesn't look as big as it was described." I point out.
"Be respectful Tiserya." Mother looks at me.
I nod. I see the elves with white faces and skin. I bite my lip. I'm a creature from the bedrock. I am a creature beyond their world. To them I'm an alien. I have a tail, four fingers and bulky arms where fins grow. I can feel my tail twitching. Anula peeks over Mother. I pull my hair back.
"Mother, is our visit really a ceremony?" I ask.
"Of course it is. Don't be so modest. We must learn their ways." She tells me.
"But... we have never seen each other before." I say.
I look at them. The King Balor was stepped forward. I see what looks to be his children. The Prince and Princess, I have heard they share a connection, a feeling, similar to the bonds we have with our brothers and sisters, but still different. The prince... his eyes look like daggers. I draw back. What will they think of us? Siki stops. I pull out my braid. I dive into the water.
"Welcome, welcome Ellecris." King Balor says.
Mother walks up first. I take Anula's hand. She huddles behind me.
"I am the Saki Ronal." Mother says.
She pushes me forward. Anula draws back. The Prince walks forward. I look up at him nervously.
"I am Prince Nuada. This is my sister Princess Nuala." He says.
"I'm Tiserya, this is my sister Anula." I say.
"It is a nice name." He says.
"Thank you, Prince Nuada." I say.
