Xavier's perspective

I became consumed by her blood, and my appetite overcame me. I raise my head, savoring the last of the blood on my lips, and look down at her, unable to control my growing excitement. Feeling certain that it was only the hunger that would not go away, I sank my teeth again into her neck. Her abrupt attempt to remove me confused me, so I firmly pinned her body to ensure that I could finish my drink.

As I bit her neck again, I could feel her body go up hearing a soft moan escape from her lips. My arousal grew stronger throwing me off guard and I feel a sudden push. Standing off the bed I stand confused and angry.

"Why did you do that?!" I growled looking at her

"I'm sorry it's just I panicked and thought I might pass out." She said looking up at me, but I knew she was lying. Managing to calm down I let it go. "Fair enough." I said walking away, as I left the room I realized that I was denying my attraction for her as was she.

I got out of the elevator hearing the door as it rang.

*Ding dong ding dong*

I opened the door, and I sigh. "what are you doing here, its late?" I asked impatiently

"You called me, remember." Evelyn stated

"yes, two nights ago."

"I was busy, your no fun, I'm here now, aren't I. " she states sighing. I step aside letting her in, closing the door as she moves closer, sliding her hand up my chest leaning in for a kiss. "It's late, we can do this another time." I said looking at her

" I came all this way, for you to turn me down?" she said with disappointment.

" I let you in because you came all this way, which means I'm letting you sleep here tonight. Not for sex just sleeping." I stated. Hearing this she took off her coat giving it to me, and I take it.

"fine, but were sharing a bed." She said. Nodding at her comment I place her jacket on the rack. It's not like I had a problem with her staying here, it was the fact that I wasn't in the mood for sex.

Maya's perspective

When I woke up I just layed in bed for a few minutes thinking about last night. I think that she was right the lady that abducted me that night, she saw right through me. I was scared last night the thought of his fangs piercing my skin, his eye turning red, and veins appearing around his eyes his hunger. I was insane for loving that feeling, I've only felt pain and sadness, what I felt last night was something totally different than what I normally felt, and I liked it.

The fact that he fought his hunger, I knew that deep down he cared for me. I know that I cared for him, but I hate the feeling of caring for someone again, so I denied it. I finally got out of bed and headed down to the kitchen, smelling the food my stomach growled, so I went to the kitchen and saw that my plate was already placed down.

I sat down and started to eat. "Mmm, Xavier didn't tell me he had a human puppet."A woman's voice came from far corner of the dining area, as I look up I see a beautiful woman with long black hair, and I noticed that she was wearing what looked like one of Xavier's shirts and no pants. " I'm hungry, and cant find any blood around her, so you'll do." As she said that my eyes widen, I get out of my chair trying to run but she's already grabbed my hand. Her fangs pierce into my neck. "Aahhh." I screamed at her aggressiveness, I struggle trying to fight her.

"Evelyn!" Xavier growled. He grabs her hand pulling her off me. "Go find a neck to sink your teeth into elsewhere, not here." He said releasing his grip. "Oh, come on Xavier you know your hungry too, let's feed on her together, it would be like old times." Evelyn said staring back at me.

I turn to walk away but Xavier stops me. "Let go of me." I said.

"I have to talk to you." Xavier said

"huh, you both are just boring as hell. You know what , I think I'll go get breakfast somewhere else." Evelyn laughed as she walked to the door with me and Xavier following, she turned around to look at us. "Oh and Xavier don't care about your human too much, for we both know what happens to them."

As she shuts the door, I stand confused, was Xavier going to kill me? "Come with me maya." Xavier said. I follow him to his study as we walk inside, he closes the door. I turn to look at him. "Why am I her-.

"Take the book called blood." He interrupted. "I want you to read it and decide for yourself if you want to leave or stay here. He said. I picked up the book and turned back to look at him.

"What happens If I leave?" I asked.

"I'll explain that when you've finished reading the book." He said. I walked out and headed to my room upstairs, when I got to my room I sat on my bed and began to read the first chapter.

When it turned dark outside I had almost read the whole book, but I hear a knock at the door. "miss, dinners ready." The maid said. I got up and opened the door and I took the food from her hand. "Thank you." I said.

Closing the door I sat back down and started eating, I picked the book up again and began reading it again. I got lost in the book and stopped once I hit the back of the book, and in that moment I remembered what Xavier said, it echoed in my mind. "decide if you want to leave or stay here." The book called blood was also written by Xavier, but in this book he talked his kind.

The vampires, ripper, smart ones, cocky and lonely ones, and within those categories he said that there were vampire's that saw human simply as food and nothing more.

Would I rather stay here or leave, I don't know. I wanted my freedom more than anything, but now I'm hesitant.

I go down to the first floor to ask Xavier but he's not in his study. I walk down the hallway and see a door cracked, as I approach the door I peak inside and see that Xavier's shirtless.

My mind is telling me to leave but I can't help but stare, as I turn I finally to leave, I hear my name being called. "Maya, I know your there." He said. I stand still not wanting to move or prove him right. "You can come in, I know you have something to ask me." He stated. but I remained still. "maya I can smell you." Hearing him I finally move to open the door, Our gazes.

"Are you going to put a shirt on?"

"Why, does it bother you."

I blush at his words. "No, any way I wanted to know what would happen if I left."

"You read the whole book?" he asked

"Yes."

"If you were to leave, I would be able provide you with the money and material to start your own life." He stated

" What's the catch?" I asked

"I cant guarantee your safety maya, there are still somethings you don't know and if another vampire catches you I wouldn't know."

"Wait, but if you already knew this why'd you offered me freedom?" I asked

"Because maya I want you to be able to decide for yourself, there is a possibility that you'll be safe, but I don't know." He stated

"What if I choose to stay?"

He moves closer to me. "If you choose to stay maya then I will protect you with everything I have, And you'll provide blood for me." He said. Stepping closer Xavier's eyes are fixed on my neck and my eyes fixed on his lips.

"Fine, but if I stay, I don't want to be bored, I want excitement." I say as I move closer to him.

"Don't worry they'll always be excitement, maya." He said as he pulls me closer and pierce his fangs into my neck.
