Maya's Perspective
Our ride back to the mansion was quiet. Even when I felt a little tipsy I stared at Xavier; blood was still around his mouth, and his stare out the window looked sad even though it was covered through his cold expression.
We finally got to the mansion, and we walked inside, I turned to Xavier while he walked to the kitchen I followed him. "Are you okay?" I said with a soft tone.
"The last thing I need is you worrying about me, Maya. I'll be fine; you should go get some sleep." He said, wiping blood off his face.
I should listen to him, but I'm worried for some reason, so I walk closer towards him. I try to touch his face, but he grips my wrist stopping me.
"You really should get away from me, Maya; Your pulse is killing." He said with hunger in his eyes.
"Then you should drink. I said. Without arguing, he pulled me close to him, piercing his fangs into my neck as he drank. Gabbing onto his shirt, I endured the pain, feeling more than just pain, I bite my lip. He pulled from me, catching his breath, but I didn't want to deny my feelings any longer. Before his fangs reached my neck, I turned to kiss him, which led to him biting my lip.
He pushed away from me, our gazes locking as blood trickled from my lip. But I didn't care—I still wanted him. As I panted, he moved closer, pulling me against him once more, this time pinning me to the wall. As we kissed, he gently tugged on my lip, drawing it in. His hand moved to my neck, but he only kissed it softly. I let out a soft moan as his hands slid up my dress, gripping my thigh. He bit my lip again.
His hands slid further up my dress, his fingers slipping into my panties as I let out a moan, His fingers gently rubbing against my clit.
"W..w..wait." I said, out of breath. He moved away from me instantly.
"Maya, I'm..I'm sorry I got carried away." He stated
"No...It's fine, I just never...-"
"It's fine, it's late you should get some rest, we've both had a long night." He said, he then walked off.
As I returned to my room, I couldn't shake the feeling from my mind. I wiped off my makeup, trying to distract myself or think of something else. I closed my eyes, hoping to fall asleep, but all I could think about was his touch. I finally managed to fall asleep, I woke up and went down to the kitchen.
"Miss, Master told me to tell you he will be gone most of the day." The maid said
"Ok, did he say where he went?" I asked
"No miss, oh but he also said for you to eat your meals."
"Ok." I was worried about him after last night, is he in danger or am I?
Xavier's perspective
I left the mansion, leaving the maid a message to inform Maya so she wouldn't worry about me while I was gone. Honestly, I'm not sure why she's concerned about me. I'm surprised she cares at all, especially after I abducted her. But to be fair, it was only because her father, being part of the Court of Vampires, had to give her away to one of us when she turned 18.
The real question is, why me? And why didn't he tell the court he had a daughter? Why confide in only me?
I finally arrived at the court; I had to report Alex before he could report me.
"Xavier, you're here. Why? None of us called you in, dear," Vanessa said, sounding puzzled.
"I had to report that Alex has been keeping humans hostage without your orders."
