We walked into an expensive restaurant, and inside, there was a table and a bar.
"Does this place serve alcohol?" I asked Xavier.
"It does, Maya, but don't worry, you're with me."
We sat down, and a waiter came to take Xavier's drink order. He asked for wine, but I was too focused on the menu.
"Maya," Xavier called out. "What would you like to drink?"
"Uh, sweet tea," I said. The waiter jotted it down and walked away. I found myself staring at Xavier, remembering when we were dancing. Xavier looked up, and our eyes met.
"What?" he asked. I panicked and looked back down.
"Nothing," I replied, blushing.
We sat in silence until the waiter returned with our drinks, and Xavier ordered food. He started sipping his wine.
"Why do you like wine? I thought food tasted bad to vampires," I asked, curious.
"Vampires don't eat human food, but we do enjoy liquor," Xavier explained.
"Why?" I pressed.
"Liquor helps control our hunger, but it's not a replacement for blood. We still need blood to survive."
"Oh, so that means you're thirsty right now."
"Yes," Xavier replied, his gaze drifting to my neck.
"I should hurry and eat, then."
"Maya, it's fine. The liquor helps. You don't need to rush," he said softly.
As the evening passed and I learned more about Xavier, the sky grew dark.
"Are you okay?" I asked, noticing his distraction.
"I'm fine," he answered, though his eyes flickered to my neck again.
Sensing his struggle, I decided to help. "Let's head back to the hotel," I suggested.
"Maya—" he began.
"It's fine, Xavier. I'm tired anyway," I interrupted, reassuring him.
As we left, Xavier tipped the waiter and paid the bill. We walked to the van and drove back to the hotel. When we entered my hotel room, Xavier followed me in, shutting the door behind us. Suddenly, he pressed me against the wall, sinking his fangs into my neck.
"Ow," I gasped. His grip loosened slightly in response, but I could tell he was struggling with his hunger.
He withdrew his fangs, breathing heavily. "There, Maya. I won't bother you anymore tonight," he said softly. But I didn't want him to leave—my thoughts were a blur, and my filter was gone.
"Don't... don't leave, please, Xavier," I whispered. Just before walking out, he turned back to face me.
"You shouldn't say things like that," he warned, his eyes dark with hunger as they roamed over my body.
"I... I don't care anymore. I just want... you," I said, my voice shaky. Xavier stepped closer, closing the space between us.
My eyes dropped to his lips, and before I could stop myself, I pressed my lips to his. His hand pulled me closer as the kiss deepened, becoming more intense. My body moved on its own, guiding his hands up my dress. He groaned as his fingers slid inside, and I gasped, letting out a soft moan, but he hesitated.
"D-Don't stop," I pleaded, breathless.
We stumbled against the wall, and Xavier pinned me there, one hand gripping my thigh while the other continued to pleasure me. I moaned again, my body shuddering as he brought me to the edge of release.
