"Here's your cut," Elizabeth says, handing out the money to each of them. Ruby glances down at her share and scoffs. "This is nothing."

"It's more than we had last month."elizbaeth says leaning back in the couch. " Sara's on home dialysis now. Plus the new medicine. This is barely gonna make a dent." Ruby says as Hayley pats her friends arm in comfort. Ugh, you suck!" Annie suddenly bursts out, drawing everyone's attention. "My custody lawyer billed me for messaging her questions on Facebook!" She says closing her laptop. "Why would you think you wouldn't get billed for that?" Ruby questions arching her brow. "Right that's still her working" Hayley says in agreement. "Because we're friends on Facebook." Annie says making Hayley scoff. "I've never worked so hard for so little, and I worked a service job." Ruby says making Annie sigh. "I say we get out." Hayley proposes making the other girls expect Ruby look at her in disbelief. "Are you serious?" Elizabeth questions in shock. "I mean we're risking everything including our lives. We barely see our families and Hayley your due soon  and for what?" Ruby says as Hayley nods in agreement. "For the money." Elizabeth replies, almost defensively.

" It'd be one thing if we were making mad bank. But this? This isn't mad bank, you guys. I say we cut our losses now before we get caught. Or shot." Ruby proposes.

.....

Later that night the girls huddle together in the freezing night air, their breaths visible in faint clouds. Hayley shivers, hugging herself tightly. "I can't believe y'all got me out here—it's freezing," she mutters, rubbing her arms."You wanna get out right?" Annie says as she swings. "We can't say it over the phone?" Hayley responds. "Please, stop that." Elizabeth says as Annie continues to swing. " Guys, this place is so familiar. I'm having, like déjà vu." Annie says. "Oh, please, stop." Elizabeth says as Annie slows down and comes to a stop. "Okay." Annie says getting off the swing as she sits beside Hayley. "Just chill. It's gonna be fine." Ruby says making Hayley and Annie scoff.  "How do you figure, Ruby?" Annie questions. "We just tell them the job wasn't for us and that we're moving on." Ruby proposes. " Right, yeah. I'm sure he'll be totally cool with that." Annie says rolling her eyes. "We didn't sign a contract." Ruby points out. "I'm sorry did you forget that we've been laundering fake money for a street gang." Hayley says turning to Ruby.

"So?" Ruby questions causing Hayley to give her a disbelief look. "So it's not a college internship. We can't be like, "Thanks, bye, I learned so much." Hayley respond back. Annie looks down, defeated. "There is no getting out," she mutters, her voice laced with dread. "Getting out of what?" a voice cuts through the night, making the girls jump. The girls froze, their eyes widening as they turn to see their gang friend approaching, hands casually in his pockets.

"We've, um... we've been thinking," Ruby begins, her voice shaky as she clears her throat. "Just about, you know, your whole operation and... our small role in it. We've learned a lot," she says, glancing nervously at Rio, who's watching her intently. Elizabeth steps forward, her tone steady. "It's not working for us." Rio's eyes narrow slightly. "How so?"

"We need more," Elizabeth states firmly, catching Hayley completely off guard. Hayley turns to her, her expression one of disbelief. "What?" Hayley whispers, stunned."We've been clearing, what, a hundred grand every few weeks for you?" Elizabeth says, her tone steady. "We're gonna need five times that amount to turn a real profit and make this worth our time."

Hayley's eyes widen, and she cuts in sharply. "I'm sorry—who is 'we'?" She glances around, clearly taken aback. "This isn't what WE've discussed, Elizabeth Irene."

Rio smirks, amused by the tension. "Oh, you ladies need a team meeting first?" he teases, making Hayley glare at him.

"No need. We just need more money." Elibzaeth says turning to rio Rio raises an eyebrow. "You want to clean five hundred grand?"he questions.

"We can handle it." Elizabeth says nodding confidently."Can we?" Annie mutters softly, her uncertainty barely audible. "You're not getting more time." Rio says shaking his head. Elizabeth gives him a reassuring look. "It's not a problem."

"For fucking who exactly?" Hayley snaps, her frustration building—but Elizabeth ignores her. "Go big or go home, right?" Elizabeth says, flashing Rio a confident smile. Rio narrows his eyes, sizing her up. "You bring that mama van with you?" he questions.

Hayley scoffs, slowly standing up. "Hell no. We took my car," she says, shooting him a defiant look. "But it's fine—we're not far from here."Elizabeth reassures him.

Rio glances at the women, then turns to Mickey with a nod. "Load 'em up," he orders, walking away.

....

"'Go big or go home?" Ruby echoes as Elizabeth pulls a stack of cash out of the bag. "I'm sorry I thought we agreed on going home. Did you forget that?" Hayley says before going into the refrigerator to look for something to eat. "I don't know, it's something Kenny's coach always says." Elizabeth says putting the money on the table.

"Yeah, when he says it, he means home as in your house, not the big house." Ruby says making Hayley laugh. "HA good one Ruby" Hayley says making Ruby shake her head. "Okay." Elizabeth replies. "What were you thinking?" Ruby questions. "I was thinking about our future." Elizabeth responds. "Really ours or yours?" Hayley questions. " We didn't come all this way to just quit. I robbed a grocery store. I didn't do it for nothing." Elizabeth says making Hayley scoff. "God, when did you get so cool?" Annie asks, smirking, while Hayley rolls her eyes. "Cool as in stupid," Hayley mutters under her breath.

"You guys, we can do this. We just need some extra hands." Elizabeth proposes. "You want to bring other people into this now?" Ruby questions. "We've got a system that works. If we could just do it on a bigger scale." Elizabeth explains. "Okay and if they get caught that goes back on us" Hayley says doubting the whole thing. "They won't " Elizabeth reassures her.

"Oh right because that just makes me feel so much better"
