Chapter Ten: Harmony

In the Underworld

As Ava battles with Suoh in the Temple of Wisdom, Damien was back home, spending some much needed time with his wife and kids. As he chats with one of his sons, he would get a text from Chaeyu. Since he didn't have anything on his plate, he immediately checks it out. It was just a picture of her and a merchant that Damien knew in front of a school called "School of Harmonies". While he was sure she was just showing off her new friend, he would also take note of the name of the school. It was so oddly specific that it just had to mean something.

That's when it clicked. What is the opposite of Chaos? Harmony! One cannot exist without the other. Which means the Goddess of Harmony must still be alive. He even explained that old story to Fae! How did he not think of this before? Damien would smile, and check the time. "Ava should be fighting Suoh right now... If my calculations are correct, it'll wrap up in about...10 minutes." He says with a content sigh as he leans back in his chair.

"Shouldn't you help Ava a little bit?" Val asked, a bit worried he was getting too relaxed.

"She can handle it." Damien says to his wife. "I don't get to spend much time with you guys, so I want this to last." He explains and pulls her into his lap.

"Well, I guess I don't mind it either then..." Vallarie says with a soft giggle.

Temple of Wisdom

The sounds inside the Forest of Wisdom were those in a horror film, with Erii darting about for her life as she gets chased relentlessly by Kaiden through the dense forest. She also knew there was someone else with him, but couldn't find them now. The girl with the oni mask. Wisteria, Suoh called her. For some reason, she leapt out of the bushes to attack her, but after that, not a trace of her.

As Erii weaved through the trees, she looks back to see if Kaiden was still on her trail. When she saw he wasn't, she felt some relief, only for it to disappear when she slams into the blunt side of a katana. The disoriented fairy groans, and is soon held in a crushing grip. "Aaaahhhh!! M-My wings!!!" She screams and starts to kick her legs.

"Oh, sorry." Wisteria says and loosens her grip a bit. "No funny business. I'll cut you up if you try anything."

Pretty soon, Kaiden arrives, and walks next to her. "Mission accomplished. Now we wait until Lady Ava deals with Suoh."

As Wisteria held Erii in her hand, she would remove her mask and smile innocently. "Mister Kaiden, can I keep her?!" She asked with excitement.

"You'll have to ask Lord Damien." Kaiden says, handing her a glass jar.

Wisteria slowly slides the unconscious Erii into the jar, as well as puts in a sugar cube in case she gets hungry. "Aww... He probably won't agree then..."

"You might just have to ask nicely." He says, and brings out a bento. "Are you hungry?"

"Mhm!" She nods and starts to eat with him.

Ava and MAKI were actually holding their own against Suoh quite well. While he did have the powers of a forest dragon, he also didn't seem to want to cause damage to his surroundings. Ava took immediate notice of this, and would start to wonder why he was trying to keep damages to a minimum. Was it because he didn't want his "future temple" to be damaged when he assumes power? Or could it be that he was actually feeling sentimental about the place? It didn't matter at the moment, however. Ava would get her answer soon enough.
