Chaos Will Reign

Chapter Thirteen: Mobilize

It was finally time to get going, and launch an attack on the Temple of Chaos. At least, it would be if their secret weapon wasn't still sleeping like Sleeping Beauty. But once she wakes up, they'll get ready to move out. Now, it was the conference before the attack.

Ava, Tine, Lacie, Aella, Aileus, Veto, and Eponine were all seated at a table in the Temple of Wisdom, going over the plan one last time, and adding upon it should things turn south.

"So," Ava speaks up after reviewing everything, "are we all in agreement with this?" She asked.

Eponine nods. "It's basically foolproof. There's just one thing I wanna bring up." She says. "Should Chaos try to separate us, what then?"

"Well, that's what we want. From what we know, there are two people remaining at his side. Kaiser Livius, and Anny. And of course, Chaos himself. Kaiser is going to want to fight Aileus, which he can handle easily." Ava says.

Veto puts his hands in front of his face and leans forward. "And what about Anny?" He asked.

"I want a piece of her." Eponine calls out. "I'm gonna make her pay for what she did to my crop fields."

"If that's the case, then we'll have to stick you with Erii. Since she has Lord Glitch's save data, she'll just be reborn when she's killed. To stop that from happening, Erii needs to be with you to take back the duplicated data." Ava says. "Speaking of Glitch, I've asked Lady Homura (The Goddess of Fire) to help in this operation as well. The teams will be as follows: Me, Homura, and Tine will search for Glitch. Aella will retrieve any save data that isn't in use. Aileus and Veto will be our front line. Eponine and Wisteria and Erii will deal with Anny. Avoid fighting Chaos themself. We got one guy who will handle him, our strongest God, Lord Veto. Lady Lacie, you will be in charge of guarding the entryway to make sure nobody escapes. Chaos is likely going to turn their temple into a giant maze, but thankfully, they're overconfident in their abilities, and Erii has already created a map of what they'll likely make the temple layout into." As she explains, everyone at the table nods along.

"Leaving Veto to deal with Chaos alone... We sure that's a smart move?" Aileus asked. "Like, not trying to discount his strengths or anything, but...what if, ya know?"

"Thank you for the concern, but I'm capable of doing this myself." Veto says.

"As much as I hate agreeing with him, he's right." Eponine sighs.

"If you can beat your opponent before I defeat Chaos, you're welcome to join the fight." He adds with a grin.

"It's a deal then." Aileus smiles back.

"Okay, boys, that's enough of the bromance. If we have our roles and objectives down, then I say we're ready to get this started. We just need to wait for our last guest to—" As Ava was speaking, she got a text from Damien, which relayed a message from the Temple of Life. "Heh. Seems we'll be ready by tomorrow then." She says.

At the same time as Ava's conference, Viviana and Ruki were caring for a sleeping goddess in the Temple of Life. It was the goddess that Kheios stabbed to release Chaos. The Goddess of Harmony. Fae was there as well, helping to keep things around the temple tidy so Viviana could focus on Harmony. As Vivi was starting to feel her eyes droop, Ruki walks up and taps her shoulder lightly. "Here, Viv. I got you another coffee."

"Ah... Th-Thank you, Ruki..." She says and tries to take a sip of it, but could barely lift her arms with how tired she was. "Huh... Guess I'll have to wait in that..." She chuckles.

"No, that won't do. I brought a straw, just in case." She says, putting said straw into the mug and holding to Viviana's lips. "Drink." She says.

"Ugh..." Vivi groans upon drinking the coffee, noting how bitter it was. "It feels like my body is immune to caffeine at this point..."

"Don't worry, I'm sure things will get better from here...! I know you've been awake for five days, but you're the only one with healing powers this potent." Ruki says.

"It almost sounds like you're enjoying this..." Viv sighs, taking another sip of the coffee.

"Don't be like that. You know I've been here with you this whole time. Didn't you notice?" The other woman sighs as well, sitting next to her friend.

Viviana would ponder this, and soon realize that she was right. She was here at the Temple the whole five days. "I guess that's true... But why...?" She asked, tiredly.

"Silly... I'm still because I want to...be with you..." Ruki says, completely forgetting to add the "help you" part of that sentence. "I know it's hard to do alone, so...I figured that I should stay by your side..."

"Ruki..." Viviana turns her head to her friend, her face going a bit red. "Thank you for...staying with me... I...love you..." She says softly.

"I... I love you too, Viviana..." Ruki responds in kind, as the two women get closer and closer together, soon being able to feel each other's body heat.

Just as their lips were about to touch, Harmony would open her eyes, and sit up. "Grapes." She says simply, which freaked out the pair of goddess. She looks at the two and how close they were, then realizes what she just woke up on. "Oh... Was I interrupting something? Please, carry on. Pretend one is sleeping..." Harmony says and lays back down, closing her eyes. However, she kept one eye open.

Both Ruki and Viviana were both red as tomatoes, as they both screamed "IT'S NOT LIKE THAT!!!"

Off to the corner, Fae was watching the whole thing with Dusk and Dawn (Dusk and Nanu's daughter). They all watched on with glee, but then went "Tsk... Dammit..." when it all ended.
