"Lady December." A young blonde girl speaks up, turning towards a short Chimera woman with split black and white hair. Her horns pointed forward like a bull, as her purple eyes lock with the blonde dragon's.
"What is it, Fae?" December asked, holding her staff next to her.
"Shun-Fei is acting weird again." Fae would sigh, and point to a slightly older woman with fair skin, white hair, and purple eyes. Her hair was done in a bun that would spread out and look almost like a ninja star. She wore a loose fitting blue top, a red floral print sash, and wielded a katana at her side.
"I-I can't help it! When I think about Lady Hozumi, I just...! Huehuehuehuehuehue...~!!" Shun-Fei (or just Shun for short) would wiggle and giggle in a lewd manner, making Fae cringe again.
"Simp..." She would sigh. Fae Kanzaki was the daughter of Ymir. Long blonde hair that turned lavender at the tips done in a ponytail, shimmering blue eyes that seem to have a star pattern in them, and fuzzy triangular patches of scales and fluff on her cheeks, elbows, and knees. As well as a long, fluffy/feathery dragon tail just above her bum. Her current outfit consisted of a tight fitting swimsuit like top that exposed her belly and lower chest, but no breasts are shown. Over her shoulders was a green cloak that ran all the way down to her lower calves, a high collar, and white diamond patterns running along the ends of the cloak.
Fae and Shun-Fei are traveling with December, an ancient Chimera who was created by Viviana and Ruki when they had the concept of Chimeras. She was a petite creature, standing at chin level to Fae. Her usual attire was basically what Frieren wears. A white short dress, white mage robes, black leggings, and brown boots. She sighs upon seeing Shun being so unhinged, but she was pretty much used to it at this point. "Shun-Fei, stop that already. You're making Fae uncomfortable." December would tell her student off, as Shun slumps. "C'mon. We should make it to the next town in a few—" As she was talking, she suddenly stops as her ears twitch. She seemed to have zoned out, which confused both her students.
"Lady December...?" Fae asked, a bit concerned for her teacher.
Without a word, December breaks into a full, magic enhanced sprint through the forest, leaving Fae and Shun behind. The pair quickly glance at each other, then pick up pace to follow after her. In a matter of seconds, December spots her destination. An ancient temple that seemed to be on the verge of collapse by how old it was. She flies through the open doors, and sees a man with orange hair holding a dagger, getting ready to plunge it into a sleeping woman's chest. Without a second thought, December raises her arm and releases a concentrated magic blast so powerful it would blow the intruder to bits, if it connected.
Just before the attack could land, the man explodes into a bunch of snakes, which then slither away and reform the ginger man. December lands herself between the intruder and his comatose target. It was none other than Kheios, one of Claus's generals. Although, he didn't seem like himself. Usually, he was cheery, make quips, and just be all around annoying. But this time, he looked strained. In pain, even. When he reformed his body, he seemed to have dropped the dagger he was holding.
"Get out...of my way...!!" He shouts and unleashes a whole horde of black serpents from his cloak, sleeves, and cape. They would all hiss at December, who stood her ground unflinchingly. She held her staff forward, shooting balls of wind at him and the snakes. They all went flying, as Kheios seemed ready to lash out at any moment. The ginger man grabs his six daggers from his cloak, creating snakes from his cape to hold the other four, just as he did when he fought Aileus 15 years past. He would quickly lunge into action, swinging his arms as the snakes would also attack in unison with their creator.
December would hold her ground, creating a barrier to stop his advance. The look on his face was unsightly. He was sweating profusely, tears in his eyes, and foaming at the mouth. He looked completely insane. "Make it stop...! Make it stop! MAKE! IT!! STOP!!!" He screams in pain as he wildly slashes at the barrier December was hiding behind. Despite his slim build, and clear lack of any significant muscle, his attacks would be causing damage to the magic forcefield, as a familiar aura oozed from his body. It was the same cursed energy that Claus wielded. December had heard of it from the God of Wisdom, but to think someone else would be able to use it concerned her. Deciding that he was too dangerous to be left alive, she uses a wind spell to push him back.
The force of the wind threw him right into the wall, as she focuses her power at the very tip of her staff. She takes aim at Kheios's head, preparing a precise magic shot that would certainly kill him. Just before she could fire it, however, she hears the sound of a weapon stabbing into flesh. Her eyes widen, as she misses the shot entirely to turn around. Behind her back, a black snake had snuck around and stabbed the cursed dagger into slumber woman. She would quickly kill the shadow serpent, and attempts to remove the dagger. Once she grabs the hilt, however, it sears her hand, and she quickly pulls away. She then tried to pull it out with magic, but it didn't budge at all.
"Hahahaha...! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! It's done! The ringing...!! The headache! It's gone!!" Kheios would celebrate his success as he pulls himself out of the wall. "Chaos...! Will! REIGN!!" He announces as he falls forward, going unconscious. However, his body would float off the ground as a dark cloud bursts from behind him. The black mist would form an entity with glowing red eyes, a wicked grin, and a haunting cackle. The mist begins to swirl, condensing into the physical body of what looked to be a young human no taller than December. They were Androgynous in bodily features. It was impossible to tell if they were male or female. The only thing that was discernible was their bright red eyes and bobbed black hair. Currently, they appeared without clothes. That wouldn't be much of a concern though, as they would disappear from sight with Kheios in their arms.
Fae and Shun-Fei arrived soon after the events transpired, as see December on her knees. "I...failed...!" She growls and punches the floor.
Fae quickly goes over to her teacher to help her on her feet, as Shun-Fei pulls the dagger out of the now dead goddess. "Who...is this, Master?" Shun asked.
December was in no condition or mood to talk. Fae lifts her to her feet and drags her out of the temple. Fae uses a teleportation spell to go to the Temple of Life, where she could likely find answers from Viviana there.

"Welcome back, Lord Chaos!" Anny, one of the Fairies that Kheios grew acquainted with, welcomes her master with a please smile. "It's so good to see you back!"
"We've prepared a feast for your inevitable return. We do hope you enjoy it." Erii, Anny's older sister, speaks next, snapping her fingers as a table of food appears in the halls of the old temple. "After all, you'll need to refuel your Divine powers to finally tear down those cursed Gods"
"Wonderful, Erii. You are always so well prepared." The raven haired God says with a wicked smile. While they are referred to as a "God", keep in mind that Chaos is genderless. They have no confirmed sex, and also refuses to give themself one. And no, they are not non-binary. They have NO GENDER. Not even genitalia. "But after some thinking, I've decided to not destroy God City. I've got something more fun in mind...!" They speak, their voice a clashing mix of a multiple male and female voices.
"What?! What could be more fun than destroying everything?!" Anny asked with a pout as she fluttered about her master.
"Oh, you'll see, my dear little companion... You'll see." They would chuckle, and walk over to the food table to replenish their energy.
