"I don't think I want to know what YOU miss about Gravity Falls," Alice laughed, holding her cup out to Stan as he poured whiskey into her cup.
It was the last night of the Stan O' War and Stan had brought up the idea of a celebration. A celebration that included sitting on the bow of the ship in the dark, passing whiskey around between the three members of the ship. She enjoyed the idea of sitting under the stars in the open ocean one last night.
She leaned into Ford's shoulder as she pulled her cup back, careful not to let the liquor spill over the edges. Stan chuckled, setting the bottle down next to him, and leaned against the rails.
"You don't want to hear about my old lab? My experiments?" Ford teased a hint of laughter in his close.
"The old lab you never visit?" Alice chuckled, taking a sip of the burning liquor, Ford's arm wrapped around her and tugged her closer. "With the shapeshifter inside? No, thank you!"
"Thatta girl!" Stan bellowed, raising his glass in cheers. "Smart and sassy!"
Alice snorted, tipping her glass to Stan and Ford rolled his eyes next to her.
"It's not just the lab, you know." Ford continued, his voice soft. "It's everything. The town, the people..."
"Dipper and Mabel," Alice added holding her cup out, arm propped on her knee. "Three days and they'll be back in town and another summer begins."
Stan poured more whiskey into her cup, the liquid sloshing against the sides.
"Yep," He chuckled, shaking his head. "And we'll have to deal with their chaos again. You sure you're ready for that?"
"Those two are like little hurricanes," Ford sighed, a wry smile on his face. "Always stirring things up. Reminds me of myself when I was younger."
"First of all," Alice protested, waving her free hand at Stan. "You're going to have me sloshed and hungover at this rate, Stanley. Coolit."
She pulled her cup away from him, taking a healthy sip and glaring over the rim of her cup. Stan laughed, holding his hands and the bottle up in mock surrender.
"Just trying to keep the party goin'!" He protested, grinning.
Ford chuckled at her side, lifting his cup.
"Can't handle your liquor?" Ford teased, his eyes flickering to her. Alice let out a barking laugh, shaking her head and straightening.
"People can't handle ME when I drink," She retorted, playfully pointing at Ford. "You know how many stuck-up parties I've been to? And how weak the booze is there? This is nothing!"
"Oh, I would have paid a fortune to see that!" Stan guffawled, slapping his knee with his free hand. "A drunk zoo nerd causing chaos at a fancy party!"
"I can imagine," Ford chuckled, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "You probably cause quite the scene."
Alice snorted, shaking her head and staring into her cup for a moment.
"No," She chuckled, though her voice was void of humor. "My ex always made sure I was in my right mind."
Chucking, Alice held herself straighter, her voice slipping into a mocking imitation of her ex-husband.
"Alice- Are you mad?" She mimicked, holding her cup in front of her dramatically. "Is there a single thought going through your head?"
Neither Stan nor Ford laughed, when she looked up, their faces were written with sympathy. Alice felt her face heat, she'd expected them to laugh.
