I find myself in the forest again.

I see you everywhere. And for the first time, I don't feel so sad. Maybe a little mad, but not so much.

What we had was beautiful. And I cherished every moment I had with you.

I'm standing in front of the tree where we carved our initials one night with a bottle of jack.

Out of all the trees in this forest, I always recognize this one as ours. I could find this tree with my eyes closed.

I remember the night when we stumbled upon our tree. The forest was so dark. But this tree, it had the moonlight shining on it.

There was a gap in the canopy of branches. If you looked up, you could see the moon and constellations. We came here quite often.

"Out of all the darkness, there's always light that shines through." You said. But I can't stop thinking about how you were the light in my darkness. But you were just the moon in it's phase, and now you're gone.

Maybe there's another patch with light shining through in my canopy of darkness. I just have to find it.
